This is my 2nd fridge. The plug broke on the first and couldn’t be fixed. There is a fuse in the plug that goes out once in a while.Fridge lives in my car. I would recommend to everyone this fridge. You can order a plug so it can be used as 120v

This is a really good cooler. The only con is the handle. If you pull it out of your car or truck and don't have the handle straight up, it will detach and you will dump everything out on the ground. It is an easy fix. Just drill a 1/4 inch hole through the handle and case as I have shown in the pictures and put in a bolt with a washer and nut, I recommend a locking nut, and it is now indestructible. You can drag it at any handle angle and it will be fine. Shame on Koolatron for not doing something this simple and ruining an otherwise really good cooler. It has one other small problem and that is the accessory/cigarette lighter plug. Mine failed from the constant vibration from my truck, but I have had the same experience with other accessory plugs. Manufacturers need to use a quality plug instead of trying to save a buck.Now on to why you should buy it anyway. It is a great cooler. I put put three bottles of frozen drinking water in the bottom and then pack it full. It has a divider so you can access your drinks without disturbing your food. I leave mine in the truck sometimes for five days at a stretch and when I empty it at home there is still a core of ice in the water bottles. It also has a lot of room. It will hold the equivalent of 32 cans of Coke. It will drop the temperature by 35 degrees F below the ambient temp. If you are away from home for long stretches as I am sometimes, having my cooler fail is a real problem. So I bought an extra and all I have to carry is the lid as it contains the fan and exchanger and snaps in the the case, so all I have to do if my unit were to fail is pull off the failed lid and snap on the new one. The handle fix stays with the case so you are good to go.The fan is audible, but won't be noticed in a big truck or in the back of an SUV.If you are willing to do the simple handle fix, this is great buy for the money.

This is the second one of these I have owned. It works well and travels well in my truck.
