This is a wonderful supplement and an excellent brand. It really works and I only take half the dose with a cinnamon supplement and it brought my A1C down a little and my glucose spikes weren’t as high. Start low dose and pay attention if you have any stomach discomfort and ask a doctor how to proceed. I always go by my symptoms and adjust from there to my comfort. It’s a marathon. Not a race. Watch for hypoglycemia symptoms (and do not take with other glucose reducing supplements without a doctors approval) and have some glucose test strips on hand to keep track of your sugar levels and journal everything. After seeing a doctor for over a year with no improvement, I found this product. Within two weeks my stomach and intestines feel the most normal that I have felt in over a year. I do not know for sure if I have had problems with SIBO or IBS, but I have seen a GREAT improvement with the Berberine Complex.

I don't really like this, and I purchased it thinking that it was like the Berberine HCL it is not. The taste is bitter in smoothies. As for being an appetite suppressant, I didn't see that effect. What it does do is help the body to break down cortisol and glycogens from carbohydrates; however, the HCL version of the same brand does this much better. The capsule is easy to swallow.
