The World History of Animation

(don't really understand why there is such a simple and understated cover) Regardless, this book is AMAZING! If you are more interactive with reading the history, look up the films that they mention. I have this in my History of Animation class and it is a great book! It's in a bit of a strange order. If you love animation, read this and it will enhance it tons!

it's a well designed book and easy to read, informative, however truthfully...most, if not all, of the information in this book can easily be found online from a multitude of resources. I had to get this for my animation class and I never cracked the book open other than the one time when I read the introduction. I got an A+ in the class and a 95% on my final.

My son loves this book. I just gave it to him for his 10th birthday. It's a huge hardback and has lots of gorgeous glossy pictures. He is really enjoying reading it.

Nice visuals in this book, though some of them are labeled incorrectly and there are a few errors, both in content and in the writing. It should have been fact-checked and edited more carefully. I don't understand why anyone feels the need to rush books like this, especially considering how many great animated works have come out since this was publish. Also, I wish the layout was better. It makes no sense to have tiny text and a crap ton of white space—the font could have been bigger and much easier on the eyes. Overall, it covers a lot more than similar books, so that's a positive.

I've just received it and read this book for my thesis and it really helped a lot.First of all, it has all kinds of animation news from all over the World with lots of images and photographs.A hardcover book with high quality and glossy paper.It was worth buying and it's price is just right.The only problem was that they wrote Simba's father Mufasa as Mafusa...like 4 times...

Great coffee table book! I actually got this book as it was an assigned textbook for a history of animation class for non-majors. Great pictures and is definitely a great thing to have!

Es una buena lectura, pero sin duda queda a deber en el aspecto visual. Sobre todo en el primer tercio del libro hay una importante escasez de imágenes ilustrativas respecto a las obras que trata, aunque esto se reduce mucho en la parte final del libro.Algo que debes tomar en cuenta es que habla de forma muy general, sin ir mucho a profundidad en las obras o los artistas, aunque esto es totalmente de esperar dado la magnitud del tema.En general diría que es bueno, pero de preferencia consíguelo solo si hay una oferta.
