Does exactly what it says it does. Audio is so crisp

The media could not be loaded. I was uncertain how this microphone would sound for the price, and I can honestly say I'm pleasantly surprised how almost on par it is to a more expensive one I used to own. I knew before purchasing it that it was not stereo unless you used the lav microphone, and this mic does not disappoint. I can't really give a technical critique of the sound, I just know it does what I need it to do. It's lightweight, small, and comes with a DeadCat - you have to purchase separate with other brands. I highly recommend purchasing this microphone if you are in the market for one, don't let the price throw you off, you are getting a quality product. I plan on purchasing another one to record stereo.

This is a back-up for me. I’ve used to it in an emergency and it was adequate for my needs on a day where absolutely professional sound quality was not a requirement.If you have a podcast or YouTube channel this is beyond adequate and only audiophiles and sound snobs would have criticisms.Don’t get me wrong, in the scheme of things it’s a pretty low quality bit of gear but the sound quality is superior to any in-camera sound options.

The media could not be loaded. ******Update Small Rig contacted me and sent me a new microphone. Let's see how it goes. Great customer service. ****Poor quality. Bought it back in October 2024. Used it a few times and the input connection is loose and it doesn't pick up an audio whatsoever. Disappointed.

Didn't work

This mic is amazing, it gives clear and crisp sound. I love that it comes with a mic you can attach to your chest as well.

Small rig doesn't disappoint, very impressed with this little mic, very hot output with no battery, I like the option to add a second mic and split the channels. Good sound quality, low noise, works great on my Sony a6500. Only minor complaint is the deadcat can't go on all the way to cover the actual mic element because of where the mount goes but I moved the mount to the back of the mic to slip the deadcat on further

The audio quality was not as expected. I tested several method thinking it was me but I even check out a YouTube video and even the audio quality there was no good. Even worse was the quality of the lav mic. They should not sell this model and stick to selling the high quality mics because there is no point in offering a lower price point for the quality. Users expect movie quality and if they want grain effects they can add them in afterwards.
