This works very well. I use them several times a week for nutmeg, Parmesan, zesting and the last one worked for ten years.I 100% recommend Microplane graters and zesters. They work very, very well and are designed to be easily used. They fit nicely in your hand. They balance nicely on counters. Whatever you want to do with the thing, they designed them to do it well.Microplane is an excellent brand.

It's fantastic! It makes beautiful shavings. It doesn't cut into the pith. All of the rind It is collected along the shaft and is easy to remove. I love it! It's gentle on the hands. You only need a soft touch because it's so sharp.

Using my previous Michael Graves-designed zester, I could never achieve the quality and quantity of citrus zest you see chefs get on cooking shows. After Wirecutter rated this Microplane the best, I decided to buy it. Totally amazing results. I immediately threw away my old one.This is a superb tool, plain and simple. I wish I had bought it a decade ago.

Why didn’t someone tell me about this item. I have been cooking for more than 60 years. I can now finely grate cheese and easily have perfect citrus rind. Looking forward to experimenting! No more grated fingers 😊

wow , just wow. It's a foodie's must-have. I use it to grate ginger, hard cheeses, garlic and citrus zest. Shaved food comes out easily! Sharp blade. I wash it in upper tray of dishwasher but rinses out easily under faucet.Worth every penny.

Holy crap, where has this zester been all my life? I literally have avoided recipes that called for zest, or just omitted it, because it was always so much of a pain with the zester I had. My arms would hurt, it would take ages, I'd barely get any zest, and then I'd usually cut my hands.I just zested a large lemon in about 7 seconds with zero effort. 10/10 recommend this to everyone!

It works pretty well. Better than my box grater. It's easier to get the zest out and easier to clean. I'm a little surprised that it isn't faster than it is.
