Very good monitor - at an excellent price!
I am using this monitor in a motorhome as a replacement system for the original B/W system. It was easy to install, there are two inputs and both worked flawlessly. The instructions were detailed enough for an experienced A/V person to easily follow. The image is crisp and well focused. For the price it is hard to beat this unit. Also tried it as a monitor for a video camera and was very pleased with it in that mode too. I tested it in daylight and night vision mode with both working very well.

Alternate mounting with T-slot and Ram Mount
First, this display is working great. I recently installed a back up camera in my 2008 F-150 and used this display. The included mount just didn't work for my installation. Too big and clunky. I wanted to pass on what I used in case anyone else needs an option. The display has a T-slot on the back and Ram Mount RAP-B-375U fits it perfectly. This provided a secure 1" ball on the back to use with other Ram Mount devices which then allows endless mounting options. I attached Ram Mount 1" ball (RAP-B-202U) to my truck and used a Ram Mount double socket arm (RAM-B-201U-C) to connect the two. It was then easy to position the display at the right place and angle.

Awful blue backlight, makes the entire screen have a light blue appearence
HD or not (sold both ways), the manufacturer uses VERY cool LEDs as the backlight for the display, so the picture has a blue tint to it, therefore all colors display are twisted towards the blue side. White is displayed as light blue.I bought this HD one to replace a non-"HD" one after reading the reviews. It is no better.I noticed the odd display, because I also have an in-dash display from the same camera and it looks great, warm backlight and perfect colors, so I know it is the display. This same monitor is sold under many 'Brands" , so don't be fooled. Just look for the button layout on the front to ID it.

Inexpensive, reasonable clarity, variety of mounting options
If you need a high definition image look for something else (and spend a lot more money). If you need an inexpensive display for remote monitoring and don't need super clarity then this is a great option. I needed the display to show me where my tractor implement was when the implement was low to the ground and the hood of the tractor was blocking my view. This display does the job for a very reasonable price.

It pretty much drops in perfect into the motorized housing in ...
Works out of the box. I used it to replace the navi screen in our lexus is300. It pretty much drops in perfect into the motorized housing in the car.Buttons on the front work well and have good tactile feeling, although look cheap. The screen flipping and rotation works well, but the text (such has 'Reverse' when the reverse light is signal is applied) appears backwards. Not a huge deal. For hackers/modifiers:Screen size without the plastic case is 6" x 3.5" x <0.5"With the plastic case is 6.5" x 4" x 0.5"The screen will work fine with the sub-board of buttons disconnected. The circuit board on the back of the screen is held on with double sided tape, and does put out enough heat that I would recommend at least vent holes in a tight enclosure.

Didnt Work!1 No reply from seller.
Recevied package okay. Got it out read the instruction on how to hook it up. Was real strange. It said to hook +red wir to and the blk. wire to ground also and the green wire in-which ther was no green wire but a blue. It said to hook that one to reverse line. Well to insure I did things right I e-mailed the company in-which I got no reply in five business days it's been 15 days now so I hook it up up the way it said NO luck again . Another bad buy, on back up systems.Aug1, 20016 still no replyFarrell

2001 Ram Backup Cam Monitor
After reading so many reviews and questions answered incorrectly, I thought I might clarify a few things. I own a 2002 Ram 3500, and after installing a single Din stereo, I got spoiled being able to back into close parking spots with out having to get out an check. However, the small screen on the stereo was a little hard to see. That model Dodge has a fold down cup holder under the radio, which usually breaks after a few years. I decided to install this Monitor in the dash spot, and set the cupholder on the tranny tunnel in front of the seat. It actually is easier to reach there anyway. For the price of 30 bucks you will not find a clearer backup camera anywhere. However, it is NOT HD, HD requires HDMI inputs, It has two standard yellow RCA video input plugs. One for backup cam, and one for watching video. You can wire your camera input to reverse lights to turn on and interrupt the video channel when you put your car in reverse, or wire it to ignition to stay on all the time, just like a car radio. It works like a second rear view mirror that way. If it distracts you on long night drives, just push the off button just like you would on a radio. I will try to post a picture of my Ram dash with this installed, but so far I am finding no link on the review page to do that. If you want night vision just get a camera with LED's around the lense. I find my backup lights are enough to see fine at night.

Good clear picture
I have to say, this is a very decent monitor for the price. Clear picture, nice guide lines, and I like that I can “fold it down” when not in use
