Dopamine Detox or Just Repackaged ‘Atomic Habits’

The book came in perfect condition with a timely delivery.My rating for the book is ★★☆☆☆Okay, this book has something unique in identifying dopamine as a neurotransmitter and not as a "pleasure chemical" but other than that, it is all about the stuff we already knew.Most of the suggestions and remedies recommended by Thibaut Meurisse are predominantly found in the great book Atomic Habits.Thibaut recommends doing the most important things as the first thing in the morning, making things that we want to cultivate as frictionless as possible, and creating friction for the things that we want to quit. This is exactly the methods, such as habit stacking, cue-craving-action-response, and the likes, found in the Atomic Habits book.Though Thibaut's suggestions for 48-hour, 24-hour, and partial detox methods are really good, it is not something new that I came across in this book. I was not genuinely getting any inspiration or motivation to go for a dopamine detox as this book lacks a complete depth on such topics, whereas Andrew Huberman is giving a lot of it in his YouTube videos.So, the author knew that in this age of tiny attention spans, a full-fledged book on a topic like this would attract you because of fewer pages. Just like YouTube videos that get split into several videos and playlists for the sake of views, he had split all the chapters [Immediate Actions, Powerful Focus, and Strategic Mindset] that he wants in a single book into several other books. Not going to buy other books for sure.Trust me, you'll not miss anything by not reading this book. Just stick to the Atomic Habits, and that's a gold mine.

Must Read for anyone struggling to get hold of their life

Before I had the absolute delight to get my hands on this treasure trove, I was struggling with focusing on my work so badly. I was very very easily and constantly distracted and drained off my energy... But as soon as I started implementing the advices given in the book, I immediately noticed a shift in my energy. I felt like I was more in control of where I choose to use my attention. If you are struggling too, it's a good idea to give it a read try some things out.100% recommend.

Trying to read it ASAP won't help u effectively.

It's gud book but it won't change u if u read to complete as soon as possible..It starts making u assess ur root distractions and slowly eliminate..it gives u the courage to avoid ur distracting hobbiesJust Reading it isn't gonna change uReading the whole book once won't help uU have to practise the steps said in that book only that can change u and it won't happen in a day or 2 but a week or weeks or a month or months.Overall it is a gud book that helps u detox ur mind from the distracting world.

It is definitely a good book. It's a short guide which will enable you to focus on your productivity. It won't even take a day to finish so, you can finish it in your spare time, lunch break or before bed.

Focus is worth money

This book provides a critical inside on the neurotransmitter i.e. dopamine. In the book The author has suggested three challenges to be focused. The first challenge is to have 48 hours dopamine detox. The second challenge is to have 28 hours dopamine detox. And the third challenge is the partial detox. I could understand that the primary reason of losing our focus is the over stimulation caused by dopamine release. The author gives various strategies to control this over stimulation and we being able to focus again.

Excellent book to eliminate distractions.If u r really suffering from distractions and want to eliminate them for a productive routine. The book is so good. But, book's is small. In terms of selp help the book is worth it. ₹300 is far less than your life. 😀🐱
