Look Back

Another great manga from Tatsuki Fujimoto. Look Back was a quick read but surprisingly emotional and meaningful. The story and artwork were really well done, and it left a strong impression on me after finishing it. If you enjoy Fujimoto’s work, this one is definitely worth reading

I bought the manga when I saw the teaser trailer for the film on Amazon. I thought it looked great, so I wanted to learn more about the story and was truly in for a wild roller coaster of emotions! Without spoiling much, this book has themes of regret, healing, and the unspoken bond between creators. I think it brilliantly captures both the joy and the isolation of pursuing a passion, and it makes me wish that I could've been an artist and have shared such passion with another person. If you buy the manga, I would highly suggest you watch the film on Amazon! It's amazing!

A bit bended in a corner but all good

I hate the process of drawing when I'm doing it, because my hand can never match the visions in my head. When people tell me they like something I did, I can't accept the compliment, because all I see are the flaws. I've started and stopped drawing many times in my life because of this relationship I have with my art. So, when I read this manga, it's like Fujimoto has pulled the feelings from my very soul and put them on paper for everyone to see, flaws and all. "Then why do you draw," a random person asks the main character towards the end of this manga. Instead of giving a wordy response, Fujimoto shows us the memories of the MC that we just finished reading. It's an open answer. It's whatever we want it to be. Fujimoto is asking the reader what keeps them going? Why do YOU draw? Why do you work? Why do you... Fill in the blank. It doesn't matter what the answer is. What matters is that you ask yourself that question, and find a reason to push yourself forward.

Great book, great story, great art, one issue is that they bent the corner in shipping...am a neat freak and was considering returning it and buying agian, but its alright to be flattened by two books, hoping it wont bother me too much. But other then that I love the book and 10/10 recommend

Amazing and Heartbreaking Story, very recommended

Short but an amazing story and great art. I suggest reading before watching the anime movie, so you can see the manga come to life and you won’t be disappointed. An amazing experience. Afterwards, explore more of his work. It can become crazy at times but Fujimoto is rather creative and smart with his work.

It came quite early and I got the manga in good condition

This and Goodbye Eri are two of the best manga I've read in 2022. When I saw they were printing it in the UK, I was delighted! I've not read Chainsaw Man, which I feel is a little different to these self-contained stories. It's rare to have manga outside of the 20 page weekly chapter format, and I think that these almost graphic novellas show the love for creating that this author has. There's a very unexpected twist, and the character is wonderfully imperfect but very engaging. I shan't spoil it! You can read this as part of the Shonen Jump app subscription, but it's a very different and actually much more pleasant experience to read the paper copy. A good idea would be to the read it on the app first and then buy the book of you loved it. 5/5 recommend for more mature manga fans.
