Q: Is this quick coat the layer you add your color to and what type of pigment is recommended, enamel, lacquer etc? Then the final coat is countertop ?

It is the stuff but be careful you can set really hot things on it. Like a pot. It is really great

Q: Up to what temperature is this heat resistant?

Our Quick Coat epoxy serves a utility more so than is a coating. We use Quick coat for seaming together runs of countertop and thickening to fill in shallow gaps cracks and crevices. Because Quick Coat serves these purposes Quick coat does not have the same characteristics of our countertop epoxy. Quick coat only has a 15 minute work time and is set up in around 4 hours total time after application, Quick coat also does not have self leveling characteristics nor does it have any UV inhibitors or heat resistance built in to the formula. For a durable, heat resistant epoxy, I would recommend either our Stone Coat Countertop Epoxy or our Art Coat.

Q: Which epoxy can be used for making jewelry, coasters and live edge tables?

I would use Stone coat counter tops epoxy for you live edge table top but not for jewelry or coasters. For that use a product that is specific for crafts.
