Mehron...the hidden gem!
I have used/tried all sorts of foundations and I am on the quest to find one that works for my very sensitive oily/acne skin. I JUST got it to clear up to where I only have some remaining scars and I am fearful of anything that might further aggravate it. (If you are curious, after two years of trying...I finally found the regimen that worked for me and it ended up being a super inexpensive Organic/Holistic/Natural method. Not some name brand line) I tried this on a whim since so many MUA rave about this. It's like the little surprise all makeup artists keep in their kits since having Chanel around all the time for every single client can get $$$ This? Gah. What can't I rave about? It's price, it's coverage...I mean, it's insane the color options we have available from this line. If you are debating between two colors, it's so cheap you can buy both and mix to create your ideal color! I've read some reviews saying that the container looks cheap and bla bla. But really? I care so little about the packaging if it means I get a great product for much cheaper because they didn't add bling to the outside. So yes, the packaging is just a jar, but it's a jar filled with amazing. This is best applied with a wet beauty blender and a soft hand. The pigment is amazing and a little will go a long long way. I opted for Eurasia Fair. (here's a blog that swatched ALL of them that you guys will definitely appreciate:[...]) Reference: I have yellow undertones. I am MAC: NC25/30 but I have a pretty decent tan on the rest of my body so I try to match it all up, not just my face...so more NC30 for me. In TheBalm TimeBalm I use MEDIUM. In Clinique I use FRESH VANILLA. In Bare Minerals (NOT the pressed one, which SUCKS) I used to use Light....so as you can see, I am a bit all over the spectrum. The Eurasia Fair was close to being a good match, but shockingly...it actually leans a smidge too yellow! So I've been mixing it just a tiny bit with my pinker Clinique Fresh Vanilla and it is a greatgreat combination. Coverage is awesome, wear-time is great. Always wear this with a primer though, it really helps. My faves include: Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer and Stila HD 10 in 1 Beauty Balm. I've also tried with Laura Gellar Spackle, TooFaced Porefessional and Smashbox, all of which were awesome. There are some much less expensive options but I just love the first two. I set this with Lorac Porefection in PF3 only (though I own PF4 too) as PF3 helps tone down the yellow for me. The Short: I would buy this again in a heartbeat. You can't beat the price, the coverage, the VALUE, the color options, and the fact that it doesn't piss my skin off.

Great affordable foundation
I learnt about Mehron from Wayne Goss videos and for the price I decided to try it out. I have oily skin and I use light foundations or powders to even out my skin tone (without them it gets really spotty and messy by the end of day). Also I need to cover one or two occasional break-outs. My skin tone is very fair (I am always the lightest color in any foundation, except for Russian cosmetics) and I never tan. So I downloaded the color chart from Mehron website -[...] (which I highly recommend doing, because it really helps and shows actual color) and chose Medium 1 (which is very similar to Light 3, but has slightly more warm-brown undertones, while Light pallet is a bit more grayish and cooler) is and it is perfect - just my skin tone. The foundation is 25 gram and you need very little for daily usage. Personally I use it as a concealer and my regular powder over it. I can't believe how well it covers anything from pores to redness and capillaries. The ingredients are (and for those of you who think it is natural, it will be a disappointment, but remember - it is a foundation, not skincare and the ingredients are not very bad. It does not contain parabens and parfum, but has waxes, alcohol compounds and film forming agents. Overall, in my opinion, the ingredients are not bad and can even compete with some high end brands, but I would not recommend it for acne prone skin. The list in the end is for very pigmented colors, not the regular ones) : Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Ozokerite, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Myristyl Lactate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, Silica, BHA. May Contain: [+/- CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77489, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 (Iron Oxides), CI 77007 (Ultramarines), CI 77288 (Chromium Oxide Greens), CI 15850 (Red 6 Lake), CI 15850 (Red 7 Lake), CI 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake)]. I wash my face twice a day - first in the morning I exfoliate prior to applying my sebum and age control skin care, then I use Mehron as a concealer and put my powder. Sometimes I use it over my entire face as a foundation. In the evening I wash my makeup away immediately after coming home and in this case this foundation does not clog my pores, cause break-outs or irritation. If I apply it as foundation, it looks and photographs as a dream, I get tons of compliments. The downside is that for perfect all day look, it needs touch-ups, it transfers a bit (on my phone, I have not noticed anything on clothes, but I always put it on after getting dressed for going out, so can't say really) and I have not found out a way to make it stay on wings of my nose :) I ordered setting powder and will see how it works. All in all, if you are not against cream HD foundations, this is definitely worth the price, has almost any skin tone one could possibly think of, can be used as a concealer and has different shades for contouring and even blushing. I would definitely recommend and buy it again. I would not, however, advise it for dry or acne prone skin - it contains waxes and film forming agents, so...

The first was AMAZING but was a tad too dark for my skin ...
This is the second cream foundation I have purchased from Mehrom through Amazon. The first was AMAZING but was a tad too dark for my skin tone (more of my summer shade, when I actually have time for summer activities lol). So this time I went a shade lighter. The shade is perfect but... I'm not AS pleased as the first time around with quality of the makeup. I'm not sure if the formula is different, or perhaps environmental changes are a factor (I bought my first foundation from them in probably September as the months cooled down and the second in May as things began heating up here in the desert which is a testament to how far this stuff goes!!) The first foundation was creamy as the title suggested, and worked well with my combination (both oily and dry in areas) fair skin. I used my fingers to apply it instead of a sponge because I found that it warmed beneath my touch, becoming softer and easier to apply evenly. It didn't make me break out like some heavier cream foundations do, probably because it was so thick that just a little went a long way, and it blended very well so I found I didn't need to wear as much makeup to cover blemishes or even up my skin tone. Definitely a medium to full coverage makeup (can even be used to reduce to appearance of body scars) but can easily be applied with a light touch for the perfect lazy day light makeup look. It was the PERFECT foundation. This second shade I'm currently using is... Okay. The shade it perfect. It perfectly matches my skin tone, if only just a touch too light due to my rosy complexion. I don't mind that much because no shade is ever PERFECT, and a touch too light is more easily remedied than a touch too tan, with a hint of bronzer or just a little blush. (My Palladio wet and dry foundation from Sally's was a little too rudy to use as an every day foundation or powder for me, but with this shade of foundation, a little translucent setting powder, and Palladio as a light blush over my T, I've finally found the perfect combination to compliment my skin tone when I want that perfect, finished look). So the shade is perfect, you're probably wondering why I was less pleased with this foundation than the first. The answer is the consistency and how it applies. While the first was creamy, when I received this one it was "wet" looking, almost as if it has melted in transit. Totally fine, as that could have exactly what happened. I put it in my makeup box and wait for a work day when foundation is necessary. When I opened it a few days later the makeup had set again and looked to be its original consistency, perhaps a little dry and cakey on top. I applied it to my fingers as I did with the previous, by rubbing small circles to warm the makeup with my touch. It thinned to the same "melted" state as when it arrived, my "liquidy" than "creamy". It also applied to my face more like a liquid foundation than a cream, accentuating my dry areas making them flakey and peel and did not provide quite as much easy coverage as before. It was okay, I began exfoliating more and applying a moisturizer and primer before my foundation to prevent the chapped face look. it did the trick, but it was not the amazing, perfect makeup I remembered using up until a couple of days prior. Perhaps it's the same formula and it merely melted in transit and settled in a different state, or perhaps the ingredients are marginally different in this foundation. Whatever the case, I was satisfied with the product keeping in mind that ordering makeup from the Internet does have its downfalls. It's overall a decent medium-full coverage foundation that I will continue to use, at least until I can afford organic makeup lol.

LOVE IT!
Medium Dark 1 is a match for MAC NC-42 It is also similar to Hazelnut in Benefit cosmetics This is professional makeup, so it is highly pigmented and doesn't contain nearly as many preservatives as commercial makeup. It doesn't come in a fancy case but who cares, this stuff is awesome. It's not as creamy as RCMA, but it gets creamy if you use a spatula. And its sooo much more affordable. The coverage is buildable, from barely there to full on camera ready. I have oily skin and this stuff is excellent. I use setting powder of course, but when it's hot and I start to sweat and get oily, this stuff stays on. I don't know if it's officially waterproof but I can dab my face and apply more setting powder and the makeup stays. Application tip: Even though this is for personal use, I don't like to contaminate my makeup so I use a metal spatula to scoop out a very small amount (like not even half a pea) onto the back of my hand. I use an even smaller amount of the Eurasia fair and mix the two together on the back of my hand. It warms up and gets creamy. I use a wet sponge (the orange real techniques one) and it allows me to apply a very light layer (like daytime wear). If I have any blemishes to cover (this stuff hides redness like nobodies business) I'll use the tip of my dry finger and spot cover and blend out the edges. Since it is professional, it is easy to go overboard if you don't know what you're doing. But that shouldn't stop you from trying this stuff out. PROS: I can wear this all day and not break out (MAC would have me breaking out by the evening). Good for oily skin, just be careful not to put it on too thick. It covers discoloration and redness flawlessly. The price! You can get 3 colors for the price of 1 commercial brand foundation. CONS: Hard to pick your color online.

Lives up to the hype
In love with this foundation. Picking a color was harder than I thought. Glad I read the reviews, because if I hadn't, I would have gone too light. For reference, i'm fair (NC20-25 or Nude Beige) with strong yellow undertones. Medium 1 will be a good match if you are on the neutral to yellow side and fair. If you need more yellow or a bit deeper, order Eurasia Fair. The texture of this foundation is wonderful. I like the buildable coverage, and how sheerly this can be blended down. It wears very well, and doesn't change color or separate. Lasts a long time, and my god does it look amazing in photos. I will say this is best for normal to slightly oily or slightly dry skin. Acne-prone skin isn't going to like this, and it's not emollient like a anti aging foundation. I will repurchase when I run out, although that could be a while, since a teeny bit goes a long way.

Beautiful finish, but not for long...
I like this foundation and I'm happy to have it in my collection. However, it is not something that I am able to use for day-to-day wear. If you've worn Mehron makeup before, this is pretty comparable to their usual performance, in my experience. It's not a bad value for the price, and for what it is. A detailed breakdown follows, including a description of my skin* at the end, in case it helps you to judge. - COLOR: This foundation is very VERY light. Most foundations that are this light lean pink, but this does not. The color is neutral, leaning neither particularly warm, nor cool, with no noticeable undertones on my skin when applied. It is nearly white. - COVERAGE: This foundation has good medium coverage that is easily buildable up to full coverage. I like to apply it with a damp cosmetic sponge. I prefer to stipple it, but you could drag it for less intense coverage. - FINISH: When applied with a damp sponge, this produces an initial effect that is very smooth, forgiving, and flawless. It looks like skin, and it doesn't look cakey. - WEAR: Sadly, this is where the Mehron Celebre Pro-HD Cream begins to fail. After a few hours, this foundation significantly breaks down on my skin. Interestingly, this is a problem that I almost never have, but with this product, nothing seems to stop it. I've tried it with different primers and setting powders, in various combinations, and alone. I can't get it to maintain its look for long no matter what I've tried. It begins to separate, leaving spots seemingly free of any coverage, and starts to look oily. Overall, I like this foundation a great deal when it's first applied. It photographs beautifully. I'm happy to have it available to me for when I need a short-term wear flawless look, but I won't be wearing it on a busy day when I can't touch it up. It is layerable if you choose to touch up, but for me, I don't want to drag all that stuff around with me at work or wherever else. My understanding is that most Mehron makeup is meant to be stage makeup or for editorial use, so it's not entirely surprising that it would perform this way. It looks great on camera, but it just doesn't maintain. Not a total loss, but not what I had hoped. *ABOUT MY SKIN: I am very pale. And I mean VERY pale. It's incredibly difficult to find a foundation light enough for me, and I have to lighten almost all foundations. If I had to guess, I'd say I'm something like NC05. My skin is a little acne prone, but not overly sensitive to most cosmetics. It is what's referred to as oily-dehydrated. However, the oiliness is relatively minor, and only occurs in specific areas. I do not typically have to take any special precautions to avoid looking oily. If anything, this tends to manifest as clogged pores more than anything else.

FANTASTIC!
I found an online swatch from Mehron website and compared foundations and creams. I wear a medium in Merele Norman coverup and usually am a medium in other foundations so I thought I would try for a Medium 3. The product was absolutely perfect, right on! It matched my skin tone perfectly. I am half white/half asian and have a slight yellow to my skin. I brown easily in the sun and I do not have alot of pink in my skin which so many foundations have. I was very skeptical at first. But this little cream is amazing! I applied it along my jaw line and it was flawless as it matched my own skin. I needed so very little. Here are some tips! 1) A;ways wash your face very well and make sure all your pores are clean before putting on any makeup! This is really important so you do not burty old dirt and build up beneath a new layer of makeup! 2) Make sure you have a good moisturizer and that your skin is not thirsty for hydration. Once you moisturize your skin (if needed), rub a soft cloth over your face in a circular motion to stimulate the blood and cells so they can receive the moisturizer instead of just sitting on the surface of your skin. This prepares the skin for the foundation. 3) I used this as my foundation. I used my finger and gently tapped it onto my skin and then added slight circular motions to blend it. I used a very thin coating. I do not use a sponge because a sponge soaks up so much product - you may find more of it gets lots on the sponge instead of going to your face! Also, make sure your fingers and nails are spotlessly clean so you don't rub bacteria around on your clean skin. I dabbed a little bit on and then gently applied it in a circular motion and blended it. I used it all around my eyes too. Very very little is needed! 4) You can follow with your favorite mineral powder and apply with a large fluffy brush as needed. This stuff looks great in artificial and natural sunlight and doesn't look pasty, built up, or heavy at all! I wish I had known of this decades ago instead of throwing my money away on expensive store foundations. This is great stuff! I'm stocking up!

Formula is now very sheer - NOT full cover
After purchasing, I learned the formula seems to have been updated and the product is sheer NOT full.
