I had a similar looking casio for 10 years until I lost it recently. This feels like paper now. Nearly everything is plastic - save for the band and the back actually being stainless steel - and even then the metal it is much thinner than before. Flimsy.

This is a great watch! So, I wanna get to the good stuff first. But there are a few caveats, and I provide a should-be-mandatory solution to the most important drawback at the end, so please check that out.I picked up my A171WE-1A used on ebay for 15 bucks shipped. I cleaned it up, set the time, put it on, and showed my gf. Of my 150ish watches, it's rare that she's had a genuinely positive reaction. It's always the ol' "Oh, yeah, nice" placation. Not this time. She's like "Oh wow, that's really cool! Very vintage-looking. That's really nice." Exactly how I feel.With the just-released $500 MSRP 50th Anniversary Casiotron TRN-50 (that will cost you upwards of $600 on ebay), you may be looking for a reasonably-priced alternative with the same aesthetic. This is a solid option.This is s VERY basic watch though. You get modest-but-adequate WR for daily non-swimming life, hh:mm:ss, day, date (no month) on the main screen, 1 daily alarm, stopwatch, and very dim green LED illumination. Not an impressive spec sheet, but if you wanna know what time it is, BAM! There ya go!Now, I have a few gripes with this watch. 1) the LED illumination is too dim. 2) No countdown timer. 3) Most-importantly; the plastic crystal is really soft and scratches really easily. The upside to that is that minor scratches polish away easily. Just use a soft smooth microfiber cloth or tshirt with some car polish.Now, the game-changer tip you gotta do! Don't worry about water damage here. You're safe. Wash your new (or restored/polished-crystal) A171WE's crystal with dish soap. Rinse thoroughly. Apply either a 28mm or 29mm diameter TPU or PET screen protector. I personally prefer wet installation over dry. TPU is a rubbery or "siloconey" film that on close inspection has a slight orange peel texture. It generally "bounces" scratches away, but is not as glass-smooth as PET. PET is a hard-but-flexible glasslike plastic. When applied properly, it's really hard to even see that it's there. Virtually invisible. PET resists scratches quite well, but not as well as the seemingly self-healing TPU. I installed a 29mm protector and it fits the entire crystal edge-to-edge, so perfect placement is critical. 28mm will basically provide the same coverage protection but be a lot more forgiving in the installation process. After polishing my crystal by hand (no tools) for just a minute or two, and application of my screen protector, now I have a protected screen and I cannot detect any crystal imperfections. It made all the remaining scratches disappear. Ya REALLY gotta go with the protector!This is an awesome watch, enjoy!

Ich bin so begeistert, dass ich direkt eine Rezension schreiben muss! Ich habe die Uhr heute bekommen und finde sie echt hübsch! Ich finde das Retro Design toll, eine Casio eben! Man erwartet sich ja eine lange Laufzeit davon. Sie ist zeitlos und ich finde sie passt eigentlich zu jeder Klamotte. Verkauft wird sie hier als unisex, ich finde sie vom Durchmesser aber wesentlich kleiner als meine alte, sieht bei Frauen schön aus, als Mann wäre sie mir definitiv zu klein. Was ich ganz klasse finde, ist dass das Armband tatsächlich die Härchen an den Armen nicht einzwickt. Dieses Problem hatte ich mit mit einem alten Armband mal und hat mich massiv gestört.Einzig das Einstellen des Armbandes fand ich persönlich ein bisschen fummelig bis es dann gepasst hat. Der Schlitten ist mir erstmal runtergefallen 🙈und dann war erstmal überlegen, wie er abs Armband gehört. Aber das ist akzeptabel, man macht es ja schließlich nur einmal und dann sollte es passen. Alles in allem eine tolle Uhr hier zu einem super guten Angebots- Preis (ca. 28 EUR) bekommen. Über die Laufzeit kann ich natürlich noch nicht sagen aber ich würde sie aus heutiger Sicht wieder kaufen.

Garanzia scritta a mano e orologio originale(la prova è premere a lungo il pulsante destro fino alla comparsa della dicitura Casio).Soddisfatta.Sulla Impermeabilita non so. È menzionata sul retro della cassa ma dalle recensioni pare di no. Nel dubbio non lo bagno.
