For some reason, foam is really expensive for what it is. This one was one of the better priced ones on Amazon. It's just a noise canceling material, a vibration deadening tool or for my purposes, just plain cushioning. I used it to cushion a LiFePo4 battery inside a pre-made battery box so that it would stay put during my travels. It does the job and I still have a whole bunch of sheets left so I'm happy with the purchase.

These soundproofing panels work great for diffusion reverb in my home studio where I do music production. I have purchased acoustic panels in the past and have had qc issues. The panels arrived exactly as advertised with no defects or tears in the foam.

While I don’t have a sound booth or a space to record I do have something that the ability to muffle the sound is badly needed. I run a tumbler that typically sits on my floor on a towel to try and lessen some of the vibrations through the floor. While it’s not super loud as standard headphones can cut it to a low hum but outside that you do have to raise your voice up a bit to talk over it.These foam panels came vacuum sealed and although it offers two ways to floof them up, neither was needed. It was already floofing once I broke the air-tight seal and in just a few minutes mine were fully floofed and though I did leave them sit overnight they were still just as floofed.The only downside I found is it shows stuff like hot glue being able to secure each sheet into place but for me, it just peeled right off without much force. I’m not sure if it’s due to the type of glue sticks I’m using in my hot glue gun, being more for crafting or what, so I won't fault it for that. I ended up using two-sided heavy-duty sticky tape though that only holds onto it to a point.The foam does work nicely for muffling sounds. I fitted it to a part of a modular shelving unit that easily fits over my tumbler, a temp setup until I can build a proper sound box. Without the foam and just the shelving unit, it hardly puts a dent in the sound, but with the foam stuffed along the sides, it cut the sound by over half. I think it now runs quieter or on par with my air compressor which is a brand that is rated to run quieter than human speech.Before with the tumbler running you could always hear it faintly running in other rooms of the apartment I live in. With these panels, I can't hear it in the room next door unless I really stop to listen and be right up against the wall. So that is a big improvement.

Might as well hang a towel or a piece of tissue paper on your wall as that would be more effective. The only thing these are good for, is for others to THINK you have some good acoustic panels near your setup. Only get these if you want the aesthetics of acoustic panels, without any of the functionality.I don't even know what I could reuse the foam on as it is so thin and not dense at all.

These were extremely thin and I had to double layer them to get them to muffle the sound.

The product came very quickly to me. I opened them a couple of days later and read the instructions. 2 methods to get them to expand, neither was necessary so I could start installing them right away with spray adhesive. They are perfectly 12 x 12 and creating a grid went without problem. I only bought enough to get started with my project, ordering more now.
