I’ve never used a self tanner of any type before. I bought this because it’s a lotion and I apply lotion everyday. Perfect.Prep. Your. Skin. If you aren’t using a loofah or washcloth in the shower - start. I do this every shower.Since my skin is usually dry after showering, I need more moisture than I want to rely on with the tanning lotion so I mix one of the other Jergens lotions (usually almond cherry) 1:1. I pump one pump of the tanner and then one pump of the lotion and rub my hands together. I probably use a good 8-10 pumps per application. Your mileage may vary.I apply to my neck, back, butt, boobs, arm pits, legs, feet. All of it. Make sure you scrub your feet with a washcloth before applying. Trust me. Avoid the very dry/calloused areas because it will turn a funky yellow. Not pretty. Wait a few minutes before putting on your clothes.My first time using it - the next day I could see color. But it took about 3 applications (3 days for me) to really see a marked difference. Use it daily until you get the color you want. If you need faster- apply twice a day. Be careful around the knees and elbows. They can get dark faster than the rest. I avoid them entirely and then just rub the lotion over once I’m done massaging it all into the rest of the area.To maintain your color you will reapply every other day if you are a daily showerer. You can get away with more time if you don’t shower daily. If it seems like it’s fading too fast apply daily for a while.I love this stuff. Being able to simply apply with my lotion and get on with my day is fantastic. It’s not an orange tone tan. It’s a neutral tone.Very much recommend. Colors quickly. Not orange. Easy to use. Forgiving if you prep properly. Smells fine- especially since I mix it with other lotions.

EDITED: I love the hint of color that this gave me, but after using it daily, my skin has started to break out. This is the only thing I've changed in my skin care routine, so it has to be it. I'm so bummed, but I won't be using it anymore.I hate wearing foundation, so I thought I'd give this a try. So far, I am loving the color it is giving my skin. I put a little on, twice a day and then at night, I use my Olay. It's just the right shade for me and looks natural. It goes on smoothly and is very moisturizing. It smells good too. Will purchase again.

I was actually disappointed when I received it because it is super small (travel size) and also the image is misleading showing daily moisturizer but it was actually just a face lotion.With that said, I decided to use it and I like it. It very subtle and doesn't show streaks. I personally enjoy the scent, to me it smells clean, but it is strong and it lasts a while too.I probably won't rebuy it for my face because it takes many layers to build up a tan but I can see how the daily moisturizer would work well.

I've heard about this product for years and finally decided to try it. I'm going on a beach vacation next month and didn't want to show up without a good base color. This works really well especially if used every day. The other thing is the color lasts quite awhile, it doesn't fade after a day or two. Will definitely buy again

This bronzing lotion is great! It really works and gives you a nice glow. I wish I took before and after photos. Only on day 2 of using and there is a very noticeable difference. I am incredibly pale and am looking for inexpensive ways to get a nice glow before my wedding. Spray tans are too expensive and leave stains on your clothes. This one does not stain! I have noticed a slight odor, like the way you smell after a fresh spray tan, but it does fade eventually. And don’t forget to wash your hands after applying, otherwise you will end up with orange palms! Great product, I’m super satisfied. The bottle is on the smaller side, but I don’t think it’s too bad for the price.

The product is fine; however, the product description is inaccurate. I chose the option for a 2 oz face moisturizer AND 2 oz daily moisturizer. I received only the face moisturizer. Based on the price, I suspect the error is with the description, not the packing.

This is a great product that does exactly what it promises. Unlike standard self tanners, this is gradual and you may need a few applications to see the difference. My skin is pretty light during the winter and using this a couple times a week gives my skin a healthy glow. I tan well during the summer and this is fantastic for moisturizing and extends my tan considerably. If you’re using a tanning bed, it’s a real money saver. The color is natural and won’t give you that awful orange color. I love that it applies like regular lotion and I’ve never had to worry about getting it on evenly to avoid streaks. It absorbs well and never transfers to clothing. Holds up to workouts and swimming.

I highly recommend this product. From its affordable price tag to its natural-looking color, this product delivers on all fronts. I'm naturally pretty pale, but I opted for the medium-to-deep version. I have to say Jergens gradual tanner rivals the more expensive products that I've tried. I always use a tanning mitt when I apply my self-tanners, and it really helps make my tan look even and natural.
