The lids are stiff and awkward
Sistema have changed their lids since the previous version - presumably to make them more airtight, but that has the unfortunate downside of making the lids harder to put on. Now you have to squeeze on the lid past the seal (which creates a lot of friction), and if you don't get it on quite far enough then the latches won't close.The change in lid and the change in shape also means that these are not compatable with the older versions of the boxes.

Well made, chemical free, good locking; trusted brandThese are very well made from Chemical free plastics (guaranteed by a good brand not some cheapo chineeeese rubbish)The locking action is good, but does need a very firm click to lock.Leakproof with a rubber sealant gasket. Easy to wash and clean and have remained stain free. They stack too for easy storage.WOULD highly recommend the SISTEMA brand for quality.

Yes, it is a little robust when it comes to opening. If you have issues with your hand, i can see why it would be challenge. I love these. Good quality, great value.

Not 1ltr capacity- 180ml size
Unfortunately these do not hold 1ltr, they only hold 180ml {measurements are on the underside of the containers}
