I borrowed an old AC window unit from my son-in-law a long time ago. It got left out and forgotten on my patio for a year or so before I finally decided I should maybe return the thing. Of course it didn't work after all that exposure. However, with a minimum of troubleshooting I discovered that the only real problem was that the installed GFCI replacement plug had gotten water inside and had rust crusties everywhere. I got this to see if it would fix the problem. It was easy to install and worked perfectly to restore the unit to full functionality. I have now returned it and my stepson doesn't know that I nearly ruined it. Everybody is happy. Good product. Highly recommend.

This GFCI plug was a perfect replacement for the original plug that came with my pedestal oscillating fan, which had failed after about 5 years. This plug was simple to install and avoided the cost of buying a new fan.
