I finally replaced my dishes after about 20 years and am so glad I chose this set. Nice looking, well made and sturdy. Very happy.

Really happy with this stoneware set. The color is lovely and they are great quality. Sturdy and heavy but not too heavy. The bowl is nice and deep and holds about 26oz of fluid. If you don't have a lot of storage these may not be the best choice because they're big. Set does NOT come with mugs. I didn't need more mugs in my life so that was a plus. It's exactly as pictured and described. I'd definitely buy again and recommend overall. I love them!

I recently moved across the country and needed a new set of dishes. I prefer stoneware because of its durability and ability to keep food warm. I've seen these dishes come up in Amazon previously, and I always liked the look of them. I also like the fact there are no cups/mugs included in the set. I have far too many of these already and I never seem to like the functionality of the cups that are included in dish sets.These dishes did not disappoint. They are heavy, and feel as though they will be very durable. The plate is a good size and I love, love, love the bowls! There were no chipped or damaged pieces in shipment, and the dishes seemed to be wrapped up really well. In looking over the dishes, I'm not seeing some of the imperfections that others have noted. The color seems to be evenly applied across all pieces.These wash up very well - either by hand or in the dishwasher. They are are not the most colorful or flashy of dishes, but they have a warm, homey look, which I love. This was a great purchase for me!

Update April 2023 - I contacted the company directly and they found and sent a replacement plate even though the dinnerware set apparently had no warranty! My review is now 5 stars. They did not have to do that.**After looking for a long time I ordered 2 of these dinnerware sets to replace an old set I'd had for over 20 years. When they arrived about a month ago, I could not have been happier. They are beautiful, colors are vivid, have some weight to them and are dishwasher & microwave safe. However, after using them for about 3 weeks somehow one of the plates had a chip in it when I emptied the dishwasher. I can't imagine that they should chip so quickly! Other than that, I'm very happy with them. Hopefully the other 7 dinner plates (and other pieces) don't chip right away.

For years I had Gibson's square-ish bright red Soho plates and bowls as my dinnerware. They looked fine for someone just out of college or in their 20s, but at some point I thought it'd be nice to have 'grown up' dinnerware: bowls and plates that looked stylish and borderline formal. The Soho's were nice but they looked most at home with slices of pizza or hamburgers on them.This dinnerware definitely fits the bill. The colors look hand painted even though they're almost certainly not. And the plates especially are BIG. The large plates measure approximately 11.5" across, wide enough that I can't put them on the bottom shelf of my kitchen cabinets because the door wouldn't close. The bowls are entrée sized, big enough to hold a BIG salad or HEAPING bowl of pasta. They're probably too big to fill with breakfast cereal unless you REALLY like breakfast cereal. On the (slight) downside, just as the plates may have issues fitting into narrower cabinets, the size and shape of these bowls means they may not stack well on the rack in the washing machine.The one reason I'm dinging a star here is because of quality control. A few of my plates have small pock marks on them and one of the plates has what looks like a paint smudge baked into the glaze. They're not the worst thing in the world considering the price of the set, but they feel like the results of a cost-cutting manufacturing process (which is probably why the price of the set is reasonable). Overall a good buy for fancy looking dinnerware for a less than fancy dinnerware costs.

We purchased two sets and are very happy. It's been a few months with them and, overall, I think they're very durable. Like any stoneware, if you bang them into things they'll probably chip or break, but generally speaking, they feel substantial, have not yet gotten scraped up by the silverware, and overall work really well. Some people complained that the glazing wasn't perfect, but I think the minor discrepancies make it look more natural and hand-made. They are a little bigger than our old dishes, so you should DEFINITELY measure your cabinets and dishwasher to make sure the plates will fit. We didn't think to do that, and luckily for us, they just barely fit, but it made me think to mention it. I love having plates that are this big, but probably would have been frustrated if they hadn't fit. Lastly, in comparison to my old dishes, the ceramic does not heat up as much in the microwave, which is a HUGE benefit. With my old bowls, if I put soup in the microwave for 2 minutes, you'd need an oven mitt or towel to retrieve it, however with this, the food heats up nicely, but the stoneware does not heat up as quickly. Of course if you put it in for a long time, it will get hot, but I'm just glad not to have to always be weary of burning my fingers every time a plate or bowl goes into the microwave!

I was hoping I would like these but I LOVED them. You would not be disappointed, great set, perfectly packaged, and durable as well as attractive.

These dishes look great. There have minor flaws in the plates proving they are each individually glazed and baked. Remember they are for everyday use. They are easy to clean dishwasher safe sturdy and they can take a beating. They should last for years. Each plate is 11" across with a 7 1/2" eating surface. The bowls are very large 6 3/4 inches across and 3" deep. The small plates are 8 1/2" across with a 5 1/2 inch eating surface.The price was right. I bought 3 sets of four. They arrived in perfect condition. I have used them for several months without a problem.Richard

I loved these dishes so much i bought a second set. They are beautiful heavy set. The bowls are deep and wide and the cups are Big. The colour is deep…totally in love with this set.

First the bad. I ordered two sets. The first set was perfect. The second set had no matching plates side plates; there were 4-5 different colours unlike the photos. Also, the bottom of most plates have stickers that are removable and discreet writing. These are embedded into the plates and bowls, and are white against the dark brown background, very ugly. The good news is that you almost never see the bottoms.The good? Everything else. Amazon sent a replacement set that was flawless. The dinnerware is beautiful, with the bowls being particularly gorgeous. I don't understand the few complaints about the paint not being consistent. The aim is to have a hand painted effect, and the manufacturer certainly accomplishes that very easily. It is true what some said, the bowls are massive.Overall, they look amazing, are durable, and great value.

First off, this set was sent from USA to UK but arrived well ahead of schedule which was impressive, the delivery person lobbed the box around because they thought it was a lawn mower, so I was upset and expecting to find the whole set smashed, but nope the packaging was so well done not a single piece was even chipped, despite being thrown around! The set is absolutely lovely, not heavy, not so light that they're delicate, and the glaze looks great. The bowls and mugs are actually a bit bigger than they seem in the listing's pictures which is great as the bowls are large enough for pasta dishes and the mugs aren't small cups like with so many other crockery sets so you can enjoy a nice sized coffee! In all we're so happy this could be sent to the UK as it's exactly what we wanted to smarten up our dinnerware!
