why so many reviews on this product are fake all posted on same day or just 1 review seems odd

The reviews are not the only thing fake the product and images on this page have nothing to do with the old Grossan hydropulse and the product reviews. Amazon should not allow their customers to be deceived like this. Customers can google Grossan Hydropulse and see the difference or look at the video on the bottom of the product page and see they are two different products. Neilmed is trying to benefit from the better reviews on a different product with a similar name. This is a scam and not right.

I bought this in 2008. Do the newer units (2014) have the same crappy power button as the old one?

I bought one in 2010, and the power button failed in May 2014. My 2014 unit just failed -- again power button.FEB 2017 EDIT: I had another identical (I thought) failure of a mid-2015 purchase. I disassembled the thing. Conclusion: The mechanism that converts the motor's rotary motion to reciprocating motion to power the pump just wore out -- after a little more than 18 months of daily service. The mechanism was binding. I guess that's the cost of having clean nasal passages.

Can this also be used as both a nasal irrigator and a type of water pik?

Funny but the hydroPulse is a low end oral irrigator that is just sold with nasal tips instead of oral tips. It was never designed specifically as a nasal irrigator that's a lie
