This product works exactly as described and is extremely easy to use! When I first took the cutter out of the box, it had a little bit of grease around the edges, but I was able to wipe it off with a paper towel. I did a few "practice" cuts on an old piece of photo paper to ensure that it wouldn't leave any smudges and that seemed to get the remaining grease off. This product is definitely worth the price - fast, easy, and extremely efficient!

Purchased 30 so far. (I work in procurement for a large company) Works great for the job intended. I recommend wiping the grease off with a rag before use. The grease is actually a good thing though. It keeps the metal new during transit.

When I pulled the cutter out of the box and tried it, it worked great and I left a 5 star review; a week later I pulled it out of the drawer and it won't cut through the paper. It seems to get caught up on the top edge and only cuts the bottom edge of the photo. Not going to work for me. I read the reviews and wasn't sure if this would work for me but I went ahead and made the purchase. I have a live scan, notary and passport photoshop, so I wanted something of good quality that I would hope to last for a few years. I read some reviews that complained about the tool leaving black marks or even not cutting through the paper completely; I had none of these problems. The first thing I noticed when unpacking the tool was the weight; it felt solid and of good quality. I tried it out right away and was pleasantly surprised at the ease of cutting the photo and that it didn't leave any curled or bent edges on the photos nor were there any smudges. I had 2 photos on a 4x6 page of photo paper, about 3/8 inch apart from each other, it cut both without damaging either one nor the paper around them. (See photos). I haven't used it on photos that were immediately printed, yet, but as long as you keep your fingers off the freshly printed photo, should be fine. I'll update if I run into problems but initial tests were great. I would recommend this product and buy again if I need too.

It sticks when you punch out the picture, but it works good enough for us.

Our table-top cutter broke and so I bought this for our photography studio...by the time I had a chance to use it it was too late to return it...first it left black smudges all over the photographs, we "washed" it with alcohol repeatedly and eventually got all the gunk off...then we found that, unless you are EXTREMELY precise in how you load the film sheet, it makes "crazy cuts," the borders look extremely askew...it is really just much simpler to use a paper cutter and save your $$$

Bought this for the photography studio I work at. Was clean of any gunk (I was worried because of previous reviews), and does exactly what it should do. Saves time and cuts a perfect square. Happy with the purchase.

It's a great cutter but not for everyday use. Do yourself a favor and purchase the DESKTOP version. This hurts my hand so much! I only use it a few times and instantly bought the desktop version. It's 50x50 cm which is a little under 2in but that's not a problem for what I use it for.
