This umbrella lets zero sun rays in. It is well made, and operates smoothly. I misplaced one from the former order.

This product offers great sun protection but is heavier than expected. I also had hoped it would be smaller when folded, but I did not check measurements before purchasing. I bought it to take to an outdoor festival, choosing this one for the full sun blockage and because it was listed as a "parasol." The music festival defined parasol as not having metal, but I got in with it anyway! Yay!I wish different colors and patterns had been available like in the Totes line.The umbrella has black fabric on an inside layer and white fabric on the outside. It's no different in feel than any normal umbrella, but maybe a little bit heavier due to sturdy construction, automatic button release/opening, and the double layered fabric.I do not find it very easy to close at all, but I use it only occasionally so it's okay with me!

Using this to protect from sun and heat. Haven’t yet tried it in the rain, though I’m sure it will work at least as well as a regular umbrella. In the summer I have a daily walk during the midday heat. Needed sun and heat relief. This cuts both a bit. I chose a print that is attractive. As others have noted, the umbrella is a tad heavier than regular umbrellas, but it not significantly. Since the material is a little thicker than usual, wrapping the snap-closure and keeping it tidy takes an extra moment, but it isn’t difficult.

It broke with mild wind just after a few uses! This was a replacement because I received the first one with hole in the fabric, and now this one broke a plastic part in the rib, right after the returning window closed. CUBY stated in Amazon "umbrella QUALITY ASSURANCE" and that they will help solve product problems: so I hope I can get a refund or a GOOD replacement, otherwise is not worth to buy this umbrella. Even my $3 umbrella from a chinese store have been last over 3 years now, this is ridiculous. I bought this expensive umbrella just for the UV protection, but being this weak and flimsy, DO NOT BUY IT unless CUBY help solving the problem.
