Best pump with great suction and output

I ordered this pump thinking it would address a need I envisioned but, alas, that was not the case. I'm trying to repurpose it at this point by capturing water in a 50 gallon tank that will hold rainwater from off my roof. I just haven't found one for the right price.I tested it out on a smaller container so I could make sure that it works properly and it sure does but it's really loud. It is heavy enough and appears to be a good quality.I'm seriously considering emptying out my pond so I can replace the liner that is over 20 years old and has developed at least one leak that stops me from filling the last 6 inches. This pump will certainly handle that effort. For the last couple years I couldn't envision how I was going to deal with it but this pump and the thought of using my out of service, dead spa has given me the plan to pump the pond water into it, catch the fish, snails and clams and house them there until the pond is finished. I'm aiming at next Spring to accomplish that task.

The media could not be loaded. This pump is just what I needed to make good use of the water from my rain barrel. I no longer need to depend on gravity to use the water, since I got this pump. I attached a hose from the rain barrel to the pump and then a garden hose to the pump's outlet to water my plants. The pressure is great. It's almost like using a regular spigot, except this water is free and better for my plants. I love this pump!

We are in the process of finally opening our pool. Invariably, we have to drain water from the cover before removing it to start the opening. It is surprising how much water you collect on the cover!With a decent filter sock and adapted to garden hoses, this pump did a GREAT job. It's pretty quiet, though it did get a tad louder now and then. However, it drew the water and self-primed with ease.Works as expected and solved a problem. It's a real time-saver as it pumps more than any of the pumps for this very purpose at the pool stores. Very happy.

When I received this item, I was pleasantly surprised. Based on the pictures I was expecting a rather small light-weight cheaper pump, but I was shocked by how heavy it was for the size of it. You can tell it’s made with solid quality parts. It also puts out quite a bit of water for its size. Overall I would say that this is a nice compact pump.

Works as described pump is able to self prime and has a decent draw. Using a 1 inch intake with a filter basket and lifting the water 3 feet out of my garden cistern. The outlet is a reduced 1 inch to garden hose threads and connected to sprinklers this pump has no problem pushing the single sprinkler per zone set up I use. Pump is mostly quiet under a load it can get a little loud. Installation to whatever location will require more hardware but is easy to access. Pump comes with 1 inch and 1 inch to 1/2 inch barbed fittings for plastic poly or vinyl pipe.

This self-priming pump is great for draining standing water pretty much anywhere. I am using for irrigation and a above-ground pool I set up for my son. This pump is pretty loud, so you cannot run this all the time, but it really moves water, so you probably shouldn't need to. I was able to run a sprinkler and irrigation system with this pump. It has a great draw and compared to similar products I have used, this is the best I have had by a long shot.
