Q: Hi. what's the difference between this and the x1204usb (without the q prefix) and which one is better? thanks?

As far as I can remember (I changed toa Behringer Xair18 digital desk a while ago), the QX is the one with the effects built in. Best thing to do is to go to the behringer site and download the 2 manuals and compare.

Q: Does this allow you to add reverb?

Yes, this series of mixers have a Klark Technics effects processor built in which gives a variety of reverbs, delay and chorussing/modulation but only one type of effect at a time, though there are also some that are a combined effect. Each channels has an effects send to vary the amount. For a small mixer it is very good and the quality of effects is good. The only drawback is that the effect selected will be the same for all channels but individual channel effects are something that only very expensive desks have.

Q: Hi, I am a gamer and like to do this when not producing music, can I plug headphones in board and hear gameplay while talking to mates and use effect?

Yes this unit has a headphone output (phones) through which you can listen to the output of any or all channels. There are several youtube videos that show how to use the fx, send and return features of this and similar mixer units to manage phone or skype audio separate from the main audio.

Same as Colin A said, USB 16 bit converter. Sample Rate 48khzDSP is Klark Teknik 24 bit Sigma Delta. Sampling rate 40khz
