Q: besides the shape and handle length, what’s the difference between this one and the hyperion CFS 16?

For those just tuning in, the shape and paddle length, and width, are big differences between these two pickleball paddles. The Radius Pickleball Paddle has a very unique shape which is inspired by our table tennis equipment. It has a larger surface area, mainly the width, and much more rounded shape. The Hyperion is an elongated paddle, which is longer in length but narrower in width. The Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16mm is JOOLA's top selling racket and the hands down choice for our pro players. It favors aggressive players who are also looking for a high degree of control and spin. A few unique features include the CFS surface that is a long lasting texture for max spin, edge to edge foam inserts for a larger sweet spot, and a forged handle that adds extra length to an already elongated paddle face. The Radius racket favors players who are looking for a large sweet spot on a larger paddle face that can reach more balls. The CGS surface is still durable but is a few degrees lower on the spin scale from the CFS. But I will say that both CFS and CFS are going to let you add more spin than most other paddles out there. The Radius employs a Response Honeycomb Polymer Core which leans towards having more control but still a good degree of power. TLDR: The Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16 is the paddle of choice for pros and amateurs who regularly compete in tournaments or higher level play. The Radius is still used by several pros for its higher degree of control and larger face. My personal take as a player is that the Hyperion rewards good even just decent shots with great pop/power and spin. The Radius is very forgiving and helps players get the paddle on the ball more often, and when they do the payoff is great control and placement.

Q: Is there a choice of grip sizes?

The grip size is supposed to be 4.125”. The one I received was 4.50”. Too large for me, so I exchanged it for another one, hoping to get the 4.125 inch paddle, but I received another 4.50”, so I sent that back too.
