Desk is sturdy and was fairly easy to assemble. Only small gripe was that one or two fine details in the instructional diagrams didn't match the supplied pieces exactly. This did not affect or impede the assembly of the desk.

As a downsize to a previous long-serving computer workstation of basically similar format this offering from HOMCON seemed to tick most of the boxes for me. It's more compact, it looks more like furniture than its grey predecessor and it'a a good bit lighter in weight - important because, as is the way with these things, you find you're forever manhandling it it in and out from the wall in order to check a connection or replace a peripheral. So, on the whole, I'm pleased with the unit. Putting it together seemed to take a while, though, and I found that the fiddliest parts of assembly (for example drawer and slider assembly) were supported by the least helpful illustrations, so small that a magnifying glass was needed to try to discern the detail. Also, I found that the foiling on some of the parts left a bit to be desired and on some elements it had become detached or scuffed away. Fortunately, in my case, these were mostly in places where the imperfections can't be seen - although there is a nasty scratch on one of the front feet. Probably the biggest practical drawback to a European user (I should perhaps say "European, notwithstanding Brexit") is the unit's inability to cope with storing anything A4 in size. The drawer is just a little too small, as is the cupboard, as is the hutch, and that's quite frustrating. However, it is - as they say - what it is, and for the price paid it's not a bad bit of kit, compact in form and not out of place in a domestic setting. me One other tip: in some cases you'll find that the foiling has been applied over screw-holes. Don't try to push parts through, as it is very likely to lift the foil off its substrate; instead open the hole with a scalpel or similar tool.

I found it easy to assemble and the instructions were very clear. It seems very sturdy and I now have two of these. Good value for money 😀. The main thing I dislike was the delivery service by UPS. They kept postponing the delivery and eventually after a week it came damaged then had to wait another week for replacement and the same delivery problems again. When the replacement was delivered this one had some damage but I managed to rectify the problem rather than sending it back for the second time and having to wait another week making it 3-weeks 😤. So the product was very good but the delivery service was crap and I lost time and money. Thank you ups 😤😤

bought for my grandson. great item looks really nice and glad we decided to buy this one.i was not sure as some remarks i had seen said about how difficult it was to put together. i left it with my grandson and his mate ( they are eighteen years old} and they had no problem with it .

This is very difficult to put together desk for a person not used to flat pack furniture assembly and even hard for those who are. The instructions are woeful and some of the writing is so small you need a magnifying glass to read. It would help if stickers were placed on the sides saying which was the top as you can easily get them upside down and then the screws do not fit. It took me around four hours to assemble - I left the first stage - assembling the draw till last which should not be a problem as it is not part of the integrity of the unit but I am having problems getting it slide in fully which is due to where I have screwed the sliders as there are no indentations on the drawer sides. You must open up the screw holes that have been covered up with laminate from the screw insertion side and not through the wood otherwise the laminate fractures and comes away from the board which I found out - it was easily solved with a little wood glue but meant more time in construction. Once built it is quite sturdy and look presentable although mine was bought to go into my heated summer house for work outside when the weathers nice.

The instruction as useful as jumper in a hot summers day. I have left the QR code for people see the instruction and how badly its made. there are some parts where they don't tell you were it goes, the screw are made very cheaply, the part don't line up properly. The place to put desktop is very small so any decent pc case is not gonna fit there, also it feels so weak. It felt like leaving any weight on that would break. However, the worst thing about this would be the keyboard table, it doesn't even come half way. overall, the product is poorly design, bad materials and one of the worst instructional video every.

I had a black and white office from the same company,used it 4 years passed it on to my sister 3 years ago. I have gone through a desk a year since then and sis still using old one. That was the reason that I decided to go back to a tried and tested company. New desk arrived on time, but the top of it was damaged . I contacted seller with brief description and a photograph to let the know. They got back to me and asked me to verify the part number I required. From my first contact to receiving replacement top it took 3 days. They kept me updated each time they made a decision on the next step. I cannot praise the sturdiness of the desk, clear instructions and ease of building it,enough. 100% on all stages ,including the swift action from customer service.

I have experienced a lot of the things others have pointed out. The instructions are wrong in a number of places. Wrongly numbered components, Draw sliders that do not come apart as they should in order to fix them in place. The section housing the drawer and cupboards is poorly aligned resulting in a draw that fits too tightly. The use of bolts is indicated in one place where clearly screws should be used. If you are patient and use your head rather than the instructions you can get it together and working properly. It comes with surplus screws, bolts and plastic fittings for securing them. I suspect this is because they realise the instructions are wrong and you will wreck a few getting it right. Once together, it is sturdy and does the job and the price is stupidly cheap. Others commment about holes being painted over, in fact it is the plastic laminate coating that has been laid over them. It is easy to deal with, just push the indentation with the point of a screwdriver, the material is pushed into the hole and helps give a tighter fit. I don't think that is intended, but it works. I have purchased other Homcom products that have been excellent so this one is quite disappointing quality by comparison.
