Compact and Light Welder
Compact and light, easy setup, great customer service from a company that really wants to provide a nice product. Update: This is a very capable little tig welder, been using it on a couple job sites for repair and small fab. The price is definitily a selling point and cant beat the HF starts with slope etc. I upgraded to a better work clamp/cable and CK Worldwide 17 torch, using stubby gas lens. Nothing I have seen on the market can compete with this little unit right now. You can carry it with a small bottle of argon plug it up to 120V and fix almost anything, for those bigger jobs it does even better on 240V. ***Hooked up a pedal to the machine to see how it would do. Its an XS12 5 pin male connector, they all have to come from China, so it will take a few weeks. Easy enough to change out connector. Pins 3&4 are to start the arc, 1,2,5 are for the 2w/10k pot. Has full range from 10-200 amps. You will set max amps in panel mode then switch to remote for pedal (using pedal it will go to amps set in panel), its smooth and holds well on desired power. Pedal was a game changer for ease of use bench welding. Used it on a bigger job site powered by a Miller Bobcat 250 as generator, ran it for 3 days welding pipe, it never missed a beat on 240V. Welds turned out nice and no problems with generator power. We can use the Bobcat to tig weld but dont have a HF box hooked up so this is an easier/cheaper option to have HF, also gives the abilty to move around with just longer extension cords and the unit is right there to change amps if needed. You can pulse on the downslope by just clicking trigger off and on. It was run way past its listed duty cycle many times with no issues.

Worth the money!!!
Great welder. Worth every penny. The only thing that you’re going to need to do, is buy longer leads. I went and bought a 20 foot lead wire for mine, as you know, you always need more lead.

Unit of a welder, highly recommend for any beginnners who want to start TIG
This machine has been an absolute unit in my garage. I personally am a big fan of welding aluminum and stainless. But this thing handles stainless like a champ alongside mild steel. I've gotten it all the way up to 150 amps before noticing machine hits a cap on run time. I hardly ever weld anything that needs anything more than that but the time I did it handled it okay. For the size and workability of settings- I'm very impressed. I had a Lincoln MP150, just a little multi welder for quite a few years. The finger button on the torch is very nice. I appreciate how easy it is to hit (sometimes too easy because I hit it on accident). I do wish the torch was bendable/swivel that would be a nice touch. If you want to do any aluminum welding unfortunately you will have to bite the bullet and fork over an extra $200 last I checked. But for doing stainless/mild steel this little machine is truly a workhorse. The value is awesome for what you can get elsewhere. Power delivery is steady and the only time I ran into a duty cycle issue was again at the 150A+ mark.

Tig Welder with nice features
I am new to tig welding and have some projects that require good welds, the machine is really good for beginners and is sorta good to learn on. Sure there is good machines in $200-$300 range. I very impressed it has simple and large led panel, easy to set up or choose 2t and 4t TIG, and amps read pretty accurate. The HF start made arc initiation easy, I did not want to deal with scratch or lift start for my first tig experience, so far, it runs well on 110v and great on the full 220v, the nice feature I like is post gas and down slope function, it prevent my torch accessories damage. Also it can be compatible with a foot pedal and and amps can be control, but I need to buy a foot pedal separately. But all in all it seems to be a great little machine.. For the price you really can’t beat it.

Alot of power in a small package.
I'm blown away with the quality of this welder. For the price you cannot beat it. I have a much more expensive tig machine I normally use but I bought this one to bring to work or a friend's house. This compact size is insane. I decided to use my packout to organize all my on the go welding equipment and I was happy to find that this machine and all the hookups including a pedal fit in the bottom dolly box. The welds look great even limited at 120. I recommend this machine regularly and would purchase again.

Decent little machine for a beginner
I haven't used it a whole lot yet and I am still learning to tig weld but its worked great so far and I feel very comfortable with it. I hope to someday get the foot pedal for it. I have tried it with both 110volt and 220volt and it performed well with both. I haven't tried the stick welder but I am pretty confident if the tig is working excellent the stick welding part will work great too.

A very affordable and portable welder
The welding machine (TIG200) arrived with everything we needed except for a regulator and foot pedal. That said, it performs on par with the Lincoln “tombstone” welder (Lincoln Electric AC-225 Stick Welder, currently priced at $738 at Home Depot in Canada), yet it’s significantly more affordable and far more portable. At 125 amps and 220-volt, I conducted a full structural weld test using a 7018, 1/8″ rod, completing 13 passes over a 6 inch length. The 220 volt setting delivered outstanding performance—including half an hour of continuous welding—and I believe it could reach 145 amps using a 7018, 5/32″ rod based on its behavior during testing. When I switched to 110-volt at 95 amps on a 15 amp breaker, the machine drew too much power, repeatedly tripping the breaker with a 7018 and a 3/32″ rod. An industrial 115 volt setup with a 20 amp breaker would likely resolve these issues. In fact, I suspect that the 115 volt setting would work better for TIG applications at lower amps—though I wasn’t able to test TIG due to the absence of a gas regulator and argon cylinder. Notably, my experience with the Lincoln tombstone welder revealed similar behavior under these conditions. Even when using a portable power station rated at 2700 watts (equivalent to a 23 amp surge at 115-volt), the breaker still tripped, reinforcing the need for a proper 20 amp circuit. Overall, this machine offers an excellent balance between performance and portability without the premium price tag of its competitors.

A great little welder
I gave it 4 out of 5 but its actually 4.5 out of 5. A great performing, simple to use TIG welder. Small, portable and consistent. I put my Everlast on ice for a while as I am enjoying using the Arccaptain. Price is outstanding. Great for beginners or more advanced users. I've even used it on stainless steel. My talent is thin sheet metal (much to my surprise) and this welder is perfect for that. I even bought the foot pedal to go with it. Alas, there is a flaw. The tig torch. Far, far too heavy and awkward. Arccaptain, offer a lighter torch in the future or if we can get the Euro Tig Torch with the button (not switch) in the future then this rating would be 5 out of 5.
