A very good lamp for reading, craft work etc that was easy to assemble...note that the bottom section first pushes into the base THEN screws clockwise. I have deducted a star because....a) the base was extremely dirty with loose material inside the plastic bag....as if stored in a warehouse subject to volcano fallout (this is the best description of the dirty loose material that I could come up with!) andb) the base had a large sticker on it's topside which proved EXTREMELY difficult to remove and has left a permanent mark visible on the base. (Don't they have easy-peel, no-residue labels in China?)Had the lamp for two months now and am still very pleased with it. Many reviewers have criticised it for being wobbly or unstable....mine isn't, and I wonder if they have installed the bottom section into the base properly. You first push the bottom section into the base as far as it will go....then screw it clockwise a few turns until it stops. Stability!

The lamp feels secure and solid.I assembled it myself in a matter of minutes, but then had to disassemble it, since the connectors between the top and the section with controls had clearly come apart inside the pole. I was aware that I had not connected them properly but had found it impossible to connect the 3-prong connector fully with the 3-socket connector using quite a lot of force vainly trying to push the clips together when a gentle push failed. On my second attempt I managed somehow to get the 2 parts to engage properly and the lamp now works.I am satisfied with the light and have taken 1 star off purely because of the assembly in my case not being 100% straightforward.

Fairly easy to assemble, and the choice of three colour temperatures, while not as many as some other lamps, are at least three good choices, with a wide range for dimming. The light is nicely diffuse, and the lamp angles nicely and seems to hold position. It's just a bit of a shame the single control is also used to turn the lamp off and on, by holding the button in for three seconds. If you don't catch it right it just steps through to the next colour temp, meaning you have to step through them first to get the temperature back next time you turn it on. Separate off/on next time, please!

Very impressed with this item. Fairly tall and sturdy, with a range of light settings and colours. Can be used facing up or down - and from very dim to very bright. Not a cosy reading lamp if that's what you're looking for, but a good, solid light.

Customer service from this company is excellent. We had problems with the lamp because we thought there were no threads to screw the pole into the base. They were really concerned and asked for photos as the lamp should be screwed in. I supplied these and they offered a refund straight away without any quibble and were very apologetic. Communication with the company was by email and they replied really quickly to every one I sent. In the end we discovered that the lamp did have threads but they are hidden at the bottom of the socket in the base. Now the lamp is great and my elderly Dad likes the fact that he can adjust the type of light he gets from it from warm white to cool light to daylight. Would recommend the company and the product to anyone.

So pleased with this lamp....well I was after I put it together! Built mine from the bottom upwards in the end (contrary to instructions) but it would have been easy to do with someone to assist.From my sofa I can easily reach button to switch on and adjust the lamp. It is so simple to use and with the three types of lighting in one I am using it most days - not only for crafts but just as a background light too with the warm setting.Turn the knob to adjust the brightness with ease and it takes seconds to get the perfect light. When you switch it off it remembers your last setting. The goose neck is both easy to adjust and stays where you put it. I have had it adjusted in virtually every direction but in a couple of days found an angle perfect for me to sew or read with and use without reflecting on the TV screen as well.My one minor issue is the large white sticky label on the base that I can't seem to remove but this would only be a problem if you are positioning the base in sight.

Easy to put together, just take your time. I didn’t want it so tall so omitted fitting the middle section of the upright, just needed to gently fold the cable up into the lower section. Just make sure the two plastic grommets that fit in the base hole are secure - I used S bit of electrical tape to secure. The three colour temperatures are great, with warm white as ambient and the others for reading. It also has a fully variable dimmer. It’s packed really well in a blister pack and sturdy box. Even better with £5 off.

Lamp works well. I like the Stepless Dimming, 3 Color Temperatures, and the Flexible Gooseneck. I wish it was available in white as well. I found the assembly instructions to be terrible. It didn't look like the bottom piece screwed into the base but it did when twisted (to my pleasant surprise). I purchased a remote control socket to turn it on and off from a distance; I can remotely turn it off but not on, I have to push the button to do this.
