Will these coins be worth anything in the future?

In theory the metal like copper in old farthing, penny etc worth more than the coin hence less and less copper and coins got smaller and smaller. Need a tonne of coins to make it worth melting them down lol. One old penny might be now worth 2 pennies when melted down. Real value is in its year for nostalgia like birth year, sixpence under pillow for a tooth or coin in christmas pudding lol. Lucky to put coins in a new purse / wallet ... nice touch when coins from birth year
