great space saver table
Just got this folding wall table. Really like the idea of it being a dining table and a desk, super versatile. The wood feels solid and durable, plus it's got a nice finish that should hold up well. It's neat how it folds away, perfect for my apartment where space is tight. So far, looks like a smart buy for anyone needing to save space without losing on style or function.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Poor quality control
UPDATE 9/13/24:Please seem my original review and first update further below. The boards still tend to stick when lowered and 2-3 boards were uneven, so no flat surface created. I removed those boards and added metal washers between the metal frame and boards to even out the crooked height of each board, then I cut some poly stripping to create a flap to attached to those boards that had a larger gap between and/or were still a bit uneven. This helped make the surface smoother, although it's not a pretty fix (and it's really a band-aid fix, since this item is past is return date and is too problematic to undo all of the work I did when I first received it, then pack it up and take it to be returned). The boards still stick to each other a little when I bring the desk down to the open position. Additionally, note that anything taller than the distance between each shelf or deeper than each shelf will be knocked off or will block closure when trying to close the table into the "bookcase"/closed position. Only the the end piece, which serves as the top shelf, can hold a taller piece when closing the item. Even opening the "bookcase" into the table position - pieces deeper than each shelf will get caught and block opening the item into the table position. It's still a handy piece, but unfortunately, quality control was lacking.1st review:I just assembled and mounted this murphy-style desk yesterday (1/7/24). Overall, this is a neat idea - just what I needed so I'd have a work space that doesn't take up a lot of room, and without having to remove everything when I want to put it out of the way. Only 4 stars due to the issues mentioned below.Apparently, the pre-drilled holes on one end of a couple of the shelf planks were slightly off, which makes those planks get stuck when raising and lowering the desk and one of them also sticks up when the desk is fully lowered, so the table has an uneven surface in one spot. I will have to disassemble two of the shelves to see if I can realign them for smooth operation and/or sand the edges down. I don't know if either of these fixes will correct the uneven surface issue - it could be an issue with the metal support at the site of that particular board. It's tricky for one person attempting to mount on the wall, but I used a couple of plastic milk crates and some wood blocks to bring it up to the proper height, leaving my hands free to drill from below.I first mounted 1x4 boards at the level described for the drilling template, so that I would have a strong base mounted to wall studs. Studs are typically about 16" apart in the U.S. and the desk mounting end is less than 32" wide, so one end will not reach a stud. Then I mounted the desk on those boards using the template to mark the screw holes and added a smaller board above, also mounted to a stud, onto which I mounted the pin mechanism that locks the desk in the upright "shelf" position. I feel confident that the weight of the desk will be securely held.I definitely recommend using this method, rather than mounting directly to dry wall using the plastic anchors only. The "board across studs" method ensures greater stability. It's possible that you could mount one end to a stud and the other using anchors, but I would not trust that one end would continue to hold the weight.UPDATE 1/23/24: I redrilled the mounting holes on the board that was having the major issue (the other one managed to finally line up by itself when the desk is lowered). The desk goes up and down smoothly now; however, the board still sticks up at one end enough to make an uneven surface in that area. It definitely appears to be the metal mechanism, which doesn't flatten out as much as the others when lowered into the desk position. I pushed down as hard as I was able, without sitting on the desk (I don't know how much weight it can handle, so didn't want to take a chance).I haven't actually used the desk yet, since I am still working on the entire space, so will have to test it out as a desk at a later date.

Does the job.
Looks nice and very sturdy so far. The only set back is that it has to go kind of low on the wall so looks a bit odd.

Absolute garbage. Do not buy.
The unit rips out of the wall when you try to close it. Don't waste your money!!!

Multifunctional Table and shelf
Great product ! My son loved it. Fits exactly his room. This would work perfect especially college students or apartments. Also kids Room study table style with shelf. It easy to fold and store with book shelf option. Highly recommended.

Flimsy. NOT WORTH NEW PRICE (I paid $150 on 10/2024)
I paid $152 at the end of October, 2024. I came back to check something out with dimensions and saw these guys had the audacity to raise this to $254. Lol. IT IS NOT WORTH $254 Pre tax. Required multiple modifications. Is still flimsy. Only keeping it up and installed because I might as well, since I've already done the work. I didn't have time to reconsider either.

Great idea but needed revisions
Edited:The seller reached out directly to troubleshoot fixes. Good communication.I was really excited for this, it’s a great idea and I didn’t find anything like it. BUT, the predrilled holes do not allow for the wood to sit flush when in the desk position, some are appropriately spaced, some have no space between board at all. Unfortunately, we attached it to the wall and upon trying to move it to the shelf position, it wouldn’t move, and immediately pulled the cheap concrete anchors out of the wall. VERY poorly made.
