Having deployed these in our last several homes, the Caseta series is an absolute favorite to work with. Packaged with all of the needed hardware, they are easy to install and to be program. This newer series is a favorite and I continue to buy more. Though a bit pricey, the flexibility and reliability is unparalleled. I encourage and recommend this Lutron series to everyone I know.

I've had Caseta smart switches for many years and particularly enjoy how they continue to work during internet outages unlike most smart home solutions. The main issue with the older switches was they looked complicated to anyone not used to a switch with 4 or five buttons (i've come into a semi dark room to find older relatives just staring at the switch). Not only does the smart Diva look and behave much more like a conventional light switch but it adds extra smarts making it almost the perfect light switch. 100% brightness too bright? in the app you can make the max brightness lower. lights flicker below a certain dimness? you can make the minimum brightness higher. Do you have a three way setup? Use a pico remote for the other switch, or you can use the accessory switch available separately - or you can use your existing basic three way switch! (you will need to search the Lutron website for a 2 page document explaining the minor change to the traditional switch's wiring as they fail to mention it in even the online setup instructions as far as I can see). You want it to turn off automatically? also configurable in the app. This smart switch definitely exceeded my high expectations (if only they were less expensive I'd probably switch every light switch to them). You do need a base unit and full setup will require using the Lutron app.

This casita system is awesome. I used it in 4 rooms of my condo. It is a breeze to set up and add to. It works great w google and the switches are very easy to use and install. If you want some hands free dimming and lighting this a great avenue to go.

I added this to replace an existing dimmer in order to add to my growing home automation network This is very convenient to program (with a hub) to have lights come on and off based upon scenarios that I set up. It's also great when I want to dim the lights but am too lazy to get off of my couch to do it. I just go to the app on my phone and set the level that I want.

The switch doesn’t behave well when wired into a circuit with another switch. Especially if that other switch isn’t also a Lutron. Also, will occasionally not turn on to the correct dimmer setting when used with a bridge. Needs to be set to full power when used with a bridge and HomeKit, otherwise it may not come on at all.

As a caregiver I some times have my hands full and just command my home assistant to turn the lights on. Only problem is the lights turn on at the brightest they can via alexa when you use voice. I also have them on motion detectors to turn in case my elderly mother gets out of bed. In this scenario smart switches are life savers. I want to try the diva on my whole house ceiling fan. If not so expensive I would have done my whole house with these and their motion sensors , and other sensors. .

As an Apple HomeKit user, Lutron Caseta products have been my go-to for smart lighting. I had upgraded all of the switches in my previous house with Lutron Caseta dimmers and switches and never had any trouble with them. They just ALWAYS worked flawlessly, both with HomeKit, and as manually operated switches. When it came time to sell our home and we disconnected the internet, wifi, and luton caseta hub, the dimmers, switches and pico remotes continued to operate normally as manual dimmers.When I saw that Lutron had incorporated the DIVA style dimmer into Caseta I knew I'd be using that to upgrade my new house. It addresses the one complaint my wife had about the Caseta dimmers...that they weren't tactile, and it was hard to feel which button to press in the dark. The Diva Smart Dimmers use a paddle style rocker switch that is very tactile and feels like interacting with a regular light switch. It also uses a slider for dimming and has LED lights to indicate the dimming level. The new dimmers are just as reliable, and the look and feel great to use.

These are the best dimmers. I wish they weren't so expensive, I'd install them everywhere. Love the feel of pressing the button and the slider has great feel too.
