Organic, high eficacy was to add fiber to your diet
Frankly I prerer the KiKi HEalth version of Pysillium in capsules as mixing the poder into liquid is more time consuming. But powder or liquid this products contains organic components, is clear how the pysillium should be taken, a very trustworthy company whose products give excellent results.

Psyllium husk that's too fancy for me
Not sure why this requires a small mortgage to use regularly - work it out per kilogram and you'll see what I mean. It's astonishingly high in cost. I suppose it being organic can be part of that - I don't always see psyllium husk advertised as organic. Personally I don't care about that, but some may. Psyllium husk more or less is a commodity - it's ground up husks of psyllium. The product either has it or it doesn't - so it really comes down to the value proposition. This is 275 of powder put in a bottle for some reason (why not a small pouch?) I suspect to make it look more premium than it is. I see and feel zero difference between this stuff and the stuff I typically have in 1kg bags in my cupboard for 75% less in cost. There's nothing to see here, give this a miss, unless you insist on organic.

Psyllium Husk Powder
This is a jar containing a beige powder. The directions tell you to add one heaped teaspoon to a drink or smoothie. When added to a drink, some of it remains a powder, the rest forms a jelly like consistency which floats to the top of the drink, and you end up swallowing globules down which is a very unpleasant experience. It also has a flavour and smell to it that I cannot describe. Honestly, I do not think I will be continuing this.

Add it to a drink, not the other way round
If you’re looking for psyllium husks, this one from Kiki health ticks all the boxes. 1. It seems to come from a reputable premium brand which is stocked by a variety of retailers. 2. It is Soil Association certified organic. 3. It’s a big jar. You only need to take a teaspoon each day so it should last a long time. It says 55 days on the jar. 4. The jar is attractive and properly sealed. IMPORTANT: BE CAREFUL HOW YOU MIX IT see update below. I'm taking this supplement mainly because I want my digestive system to be optimal because I believe that this is fundamental to good health. I will update this review if I notice any unexpected effects. I don't comment on price because prices change all the time. UPDATE: It is really important to add the powder to the drink and not vice versa otherwise you get a lumpy mess. I added the powder slowly to the drink whilst whisking continuously with a fork to ensure that the powder was fully mixed and lump-free. I used it in the ratio of about a third of a teaspoon to a medium glass of lime cordial so as not to have to drink anything too gloopy. The lime works really well to make it more palatable. The powder has minimal flavour. My original review: The instructions say that you should take this in a drink (followed by plenty more to drink throughout the day). Having just experimented with the powder I can see why. The pale grey powder absorbs water very readily. It would be impossible to eat it on its own. I made the mistake of adding water to the powder in a glass and stirring. It went very stiff and difficult to manage and mix properly. I produced an unappetising lumpy mess. Next time I need to add the powder slowly to the drink. It thickens up to a consistency rather like wallpaper paste and has almost no taste or smell. It is very dull which is not enjoyable, but it was much nicer with a shot of lime juice. You can get this in capsule form, but I think it might be wiser to take it mixed with water to make sure you mix it properly.

A valuable source of dietry fibre in a particularly pure and unadulterated form
Psyllium husks add a valuable source of fibre to the diet, which could be useful for people who don’t regularly consume sufficient fruits, vegetables, brown rice and wholegrain breads, etc, It also contains its own nutrient profile and is believed to have additional benefits than just roughage. Being just about tasteless the powder can be added to a variety of foods and drinks. It may take a little stirring to mix into drinks, and it may not mix perfectly by hand (probably being better mixed with a blender), but nevertheless, apart from added consistency, it's very drinkable. I initially tried it in a cup of coffee and it made no difference to the taste. However, I tend to add powders to porridge (and it can be stirred into soups) where it’s easy to consume. For me the best place for powders is blended fruit, vegetable, nut and seed drinks whereby I add all sorts of powders, and where the powerful blending action of the liquidiser breaks them down. These drinks are full of fibre anyway but I don’t mind adding a little psyllium now and again. It’s important to drink plenty of liquids when consuming powders like this, but that’s no problem as once the powder has been consumed then anything will do (although healthier drinks are probably better). It should be noted that psyllium shouldn’t be the only source of fibre in the diet, and that it should be sensibly combined with other fibre sources. On the other hand, it’s better having some fibre like this than none at all. The powder here comes in a nice big 275g jar so there’s plenty of servings (and, of course, one doesn’t always have to take the full daily amount, especially if smaller amounts may suffice). This is a particularly pure product. Not just because it’s only organic psyllium husks ground to powder form, but because the husks haven’t been modified in any way or chemically treated. In fact, if I’m going to consume health-orientated products then I want them to be as pure and unadulterated as possible, not containing additives and whatever else, so this suits me perfectly. It’s perhaps a tad on the expensive side at the current pricing of £20, but it has to be remembered that these powders cost money to make, it’s a pure product, doesn’t have to be used all the time, contains plenty of servings and is a healthy and convenient way to add fibre to the diet.
