Q: Can this be used with the Otis Ripcord?

Yes. This is the answer to “how in the world do I pull this through the bore?” This forms a T handle that gives you a grip on the tip cord. Works great.

Q: Is the part the cable slips into metal? The one that came with my kit was plastic and snapped. This looks heavier duty, but is the black part plastic?

The one I have is a pretty heavy plastic. The ends are metal. The handle I have is heavier than it looks. I don’t know how you managed to snap it.

Q: Should this fit 12ga Ripcord? Mine does not despite everyone saying it works with the Ripcord.

Sorry I've never used the Shotgun ripcords, not sure if they use a larger diameter cable.
