Buy it. This is gorgeous.I wanted something subtlety beachy for our dining room and this fit the bill. The light fixture is large, easy to install, and looks fantastic lit and unlit. During the day the shells reflect the natural light from the nearby window and in the evenings the chandelier lights up the entire dining room. Good value, sturdy, and isn't too light weight but also isn’t super heavy. Very happy with our purchase.

Beautiful chandelier. The only problem is I am building a house and I ordered this way before I actually needed it. Now that we’re ready to hang it I realize it does not go with the theme of my house. But the return window has closed with no way to contact the seller, which is the reason I’m giving it four stars. There should be a way to contact the seller.

We are so pleased with this fixture. Perfect blend of casual and formal. We no longer have a formal dining room in our new home but we wanted a light fixture that makes an impression. Found this one on Amazon, read the reviews, showed it to my husband and was shocked when he said “buy it “. It arrived quickly, was packed perfectly, and installation went well! It really didn’t take long to hang the capiz strands. Bought daylight white bulbs on Amazon and just love the end result!

Other reviews mentioned how this light is so beautiful in person, and they are absolutely correct! We placed color-adjustable light bulbs in it and WOW! Everything came carefully packaged and nothing was broken or missing.

This was a true labor of love. I handed this capiz shell chandelier to the electrician for my new home and told him to put the "bones" up and I would take care of the shells. He did what we asked, but when we moved in, we couldn't find the box that had the capiz shells! Finally found it in a crawl space. I never found any instructions so for anyone who is purchasing it's easy: The small row of shells goes all the way around the outside and the longer ones are on the inside. Wear the gloves that come with it because you don't want oils from your fingers getting onto the shells. It's a bit time consuming, but I got into it and after about an hour plus (with a few glitches) it was completed. Do it when you are feeling relaxed and want to feel really accomplished. Both my husband and 19 year old son love the look in our beach house - the same two people who did not like the look in pictures. I think it's a truly stunning piece. I used the standard Table width in inches – 12 = maximum chandelier width to determine that this chandelier would be great for my 63 inch long table.
