A must have first purchase for your Home Assistant system
For beginners of Home Assistant, this is a must have first purchase. 1. Integrates flawlessly with Home Assistant under Z2M (Zigbee2MQTT). Quick/flawless pairing (interigation) and fully supported OTA (over the air) updates within Z2M. 2. So easy to test out automations with the instantaneous light feedback. 3. Color options are great for quick feedback of doors open for example. 4. Function very well as a hub as they are powered so zigbee coverage is great in my house 5. Having not just motion, but the illuminance value is very helpful for automations still new to me so doubt a ThirdReality issue, but I haven't got the lighting effects to work with my automations. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong ....just still learning.

Work great!
Worked great! Connected it to Homey Pro and all the features were visible and controllable through homey. I was then able to get them into HomeKit. Installation and pairing was a breeze. Good value, great value when on sale. Good colors and brightness.

Versatile combination motion detector, light level detector, and variable night light.
This is a versatile, Zigbee Plus multi-function sensor and night light that plugs into any AC outlet. It's rather large, but it doesn't block the adjacent outlet. It's very well constructed and it should last for years. No batteries are used. A tiny AC-to-USB A power cube fits into a cavity in the back, and in theory, could be removed to power the device via a USB cable. The device can measure occupancy (act as a motion detector), and light level (lux). The night light color and intensity can be controlled by home automation software such as Zigbee2MQTT running on Home Assistant or HomeSeer or similar platforms. I created events to automate actions: when walking into the room at night, the light changes from dim red to a brighter blue-green color, and then reverts a few minutes after leaving. This is great for a bathroom or other area used at night. Since the device is an AC-powered Zigbee Plus node, it also acts as a repeater for the mesh network.

Decent, and could be better
I bought THIRDREALITY Mutli-Function Night Light 4 Pack for $59.99 on November 21, 2024. Overall, I am happy with the device, but there are definitely areas for improvement with this. Its three functions are (1) illumination sensor, (2) motion sensor, and (3) color night light. The illumination sensor works well and I have no complaint about that. The motion sensor is extremely slow to respond, and not something I use because it is so much slower than my other dedicated sensors. The color night light is decent, although the color reproduction is not the best. The device itself is also very bulky. Fortunately, I knew it would be bulky based on other reviews, so it does not bother me. Overall, the device is okay. I am content with the ones I have, but I am not sure I would buy this again.

Excellent routers, so-so nightlight...
Pros: * Simple install and adoption with Z2M. * Rock-solid router, actually managed to improve an already very strong mesh. Cons: * The default, out of the box, configuration for the night light and motion sensor are lackluster. Locations: * Kitchen counter by the fridge * Top of the stairs * Entry to a living room * Basement corner by a walkout door Technology Environment: Home Assistant OS virtualized on Proxmox. ZigBee2MQTT running alongside HAOS. A single SMLIGHT SLZB-06 as Coordinator and two SLZB-06 units as primary routers. Experience: Effortless to install and get adopted into my mesh. These replaced a couple of smart plugs, also from THIRDREALITY, that had been strategically positioned to strengthen the mesh. Those plugs will be downcycled into other automation projects. Mounted at normal US outlet height, the "night light" features are less than stellar, producing a semi-circle of light with a radius of ~4-5 feet. For the areas where we used them they are enough to make sure that we are not tripping on any of the myriad of toys the children leave scattered. Under the out of the box configuration, the motion sensor features leave a bit to be desired, as the detection radius seems to be about double the light radius at ~8-10 feet. These maybe just barely clear the hurdle to justify the additional expense over another device with a built in router. I have some ideas to use the LED color during the day as a status or indicator light for other automations; if those pan out, the value proposition of these goes way up, and I may give these another star. However, if you are really looking for night light functionality, and do not need smart / automation features beyond a simple motion-activated night light, then you really should look elsewhere.

Great device, with high quality and great features
These are really nice Zigbee based sensors and lights. They're great for automations, act as mesh repeaters, and are quite reliable. By default, there's a linkage between motion and the light coming on. You can change that if you like, to break that linkage via settings. I was able to connect it in with Zigbee2MQTT (Z2M), and it works with all the systems the link with that. (HA, FHEM, NodeRed, etc). They're a little expensive for what they are, but the quality on them, features, and compatibility are well worth the price. Do think about where you're going to put them though, and if the socket locations make sense for motion sensing. The motion sensor has to have a good clear view to trigger, so beside/behind furniture may cause it to have a narrow channel where it can see motion. One important thing I'll note is that the devices I got were actually USB, with a USB A "plug" in the back. It also ships with a country appropriate AC plug, which it uses as an adapter to plug into the wall. One could likely change the location of the device away from a wall plug with a simple USB A extender cable. It's a clever design (allowing them to design one product and ship with the proper charger brick), and I'm likely going to get at least another couple next time they're on sale.

These work perfectly with Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant. I use them to trigger lighting automations—it’s ideal for nighttime routines. I love Third Reality products and already own several. Their devices are consistently dependable, easy to integrate, and thoughtfully designed. This one’s no exception.

I need a PIR sensor to accompany my presence detector so it doesn't get triggered from behind the wall. Except this one, all the other PIR sensors I can find are battery powered. It does the job perfectly with Home Assistant. The light function is very helpful too since I'm using it in washroom.

Good at detecting motion okay night light a little expensive for what it does.

Amazing field of detection on this thing, it will see you come from quite far. We're using it in an hallway and it is perfect for us. It even detects the cat when it goes to use its litter box. Integration with Home Assistant was also very quick and painless.

First of all, the package came in a broken box. Then, as one of the reviewer here said, the sensor on this device is a little bit slow to register a motion & the delay before it goes to "clear" on the occupancy state is too long even after a firmware update in Home Assistant. I also tried this device on Smartthings but, it is the same.
