I have a fair few chisels which over time I've just thrown in a tool bag and the blades have dulled to make them pretty much useless. I bought this as I could do with sharpening up some blades instead of buying new chisels. I wasn't expecting to be able to get them super sharp considering the state of themIt took a long time but the results are great. I would recommend using a bench grinder to get any chips out of the edge but this does a good job putting a nice cutting edge back on my chisels.The guide is easy to use and super sturdy too. The stone seems to take material off quite well although I would like to see a higher grit included in addition to 400 and 1000 as I think I could easily get a mirrored edge with a bit of elbow grease.You can see the state of the chisel I used in the picture and I think the edge has come up pretty well. You can see score marks from the stone so I will look for a new stone with a smoother finish to get my blades as sharp as possible.Overall, a great investment to keep chisels and blades sharp

great little tool for sharpening my chisels, easy to use.

I found this product a good way of taking the guesswork out of sharpening my chisels and plane blades. I is easy to set up and use and the quality is very good.

Must have to get the perfect angle, great size, good accuracy, good sharpening ability, Easy to use and good grip.

Not used diamond sharpening stones before, the honing guide is simple and easy to use. It is much faster an removing the metal as it were, very smooth surface results, always helps to have the 400 and 1000 grade shapening surfaces. This is way superior to the oil and stone. Spraying with water and wiping with a rag keeps the surfaces clean.

Nice colour indeed. out of the box knurled handle totally loose. Really bad QC. Centering screw not set properly allowing the whole clamping section to fall out onto the floor, in fact the only fixings that were anywhere near correctly fitted was the screws for the roller axle, I suppose they had to get one thing right.Once corrected set about sharpening chisels. 26mm and up it seemed to do fine as long as you watched the placement, easy to get a really badly offset edge, wide roller keeps things stable. Down at 13mm though forget it, not only will it not hold the chisel securely any attempt to tighten it beyond stopping the chisel from falling out on your foot and one side or the other of the clamp lifts leaving the chisel cocked over to one side making the device useless for sharpening these sizes which when you look at it are the very chisels people have the most problems with getting a straight edge. Is it worth £32, not on your life, poorly machined if at all, will require some serious shimming to get it to work with smaller sizes if at all and its going back the moment I get back of this next job but hey at least its a nice colour.

At last, a tool that works really well and represents good value for money.

It's kept on my workbench whilst using my chisels. It's quick and easy to re-sharpen them as dull.
