Poor packaging of a fine amplifier.
The amplifier is a fine piece of equipment. The packaging left a considerable bit to be desired. The box was oversized which allowed the contents to move during shipping which resulted in all of the mounting tabs being bent and the handle on the front right being broken. Poor handling of a delicate piece of electronics. Again the amplifier itself is a fine piece. This is the second of it's kind I own and will likely not be the last. Original is still going strong. Thank you Gemini.

Great quality
I am impressed with the quality its a little heavy and compact, powered on, and just start using it, its very easy to install, will see how it will work and last..

Good sound quality but fans are WAY TOO LOUD
Sound quality is good, there's limited noise/static, and plenty of power. The fans are definitely not temperature controlled and just run at 100% all the time. Unless this is going in a closet backstage you're going to want to swap the fans. The ones that come with this can't be in the same room as your speakers.

Amp has weight, both in pounds and WATTS
The positives: * I have owned over 10 amps so far. * This unit is by far is the best to date. * Sound quality is superb * Low noise though system at idle (very important) * Matched to the correct speakers, it will ROCK OUT *I now rock 2 Gemini amps, *I will say adding a proper EQ really adds quality. -However don't go cheap! I purchased Rockville EQ's and it was a waste. They produced a hum at idle that drove me nuts. Now running all DBX EQ units. Far superior! ----the negatives: * I purchased this to replace a similar wattage unit, should have done it sooner * The weight of the unit, but what do you expect form a pro amp? * Does not fit well in a standard rack setup. I wanted it on the bottom due to its larger size, however the way the rack ears are required it to be the higher amp in the lower case. Not a big deal, just a little thing * biggest negative is you don't have one!

Poor Design Poor Performance Extremely Noisy Fans
Having had a lot of Gemini amps in the past i thought this would be a good fit for my home vinyl dedicated room. Oh How wrong I was, turned it on, the fans are unacceptably noisy, so much so they overshadow any low volume you may want to use. the output power was less than My old Gemini GPA 3000. As a pro audio guy for over 40 years the manufacturers have lost their way. The only time this amp could be used is in a dedicated amp room away from the main music source, not sure if the one i had was faulty but the output power was extremely low. Save yourself time and trouble avoid this.

Will not drive subs
I recieved one of these to push to 18" subs. It will not do the trick even at low volume using a compressor/gate/limiter and crossover it starts to clip almost immediately. I've moved it up in the rack and its now powering the full ranges, 2 dual 15's with Compression Drivers and its doing the job. I haven't had any thermal issues with it. Its not running any base since the full ranges come out of a crossover, so i'd say its frequency range is anything down to about 75 80 hrtz..any lower than that it will start to clip out. But as a full range power amp it does just fine. Not super loud but enough. Currently i'm running it in stereo and haven't tried putting it into bridge and running my speakers in series off of it yet. Don't think it would hold for too long night after night of that. This amp is part of a permanent install in a night club and so far besides poor bass handling its performed well. I will probably buy another one of these to run the full ranges and just use it in bridged mode for one single tower, so each of my towers are on their own amp and maybe run just one more 15 in series off the tower. I'll try that and see how it works out.

Very powerfull and very clean sound. Pick power 1089w
Is noisy but is a concert amp not a home amp. Anyway I am adding a PWM controller to all 4 fans fans to kick them out when the temperature is over 40 C so I can use it in a house as well. I am very happy with. Is well built and has a very clean sound. Is class H push pull / channel. I measured the power on a 5 ohm home made load resistor and I measured almost 66-Volts pick below clipping. This means on 4 ohm 544W and maxim pick power of 1089W.
