This is my second food saver in 10 years!!!! bought the amazon basics version; the other day for emergency.... OMG... Impossible to return because it does NOT WORK. Don't get the knock offs. .... cost me $35 and returning it is a friggen nightmare to return. First Foodsaver lasted me for almost ten years and worked like a beast.!!!! ((I freeze A LOT). This one performed well on day one.... let's see how it will keep performing... hopefully like the second one performs like a Beast like the first one,,

I been using FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer Machines for over 20 yrs. My Old machine quit 6 months ago and I bought this one. It works much better, there are improvements which means liquid will not get pulled into the pump like the old machine. This one is not near as load, has the separate seal button which is a big plus. It does everything it says it would and all that I want. Seals better than the old model.It came with the Accessory Hose but the design has changed and the new hose doesn't work with all my old attachments or devices. Also it has the it comes with a hand held sealer. It didn't have one. It would have been much nicer if they hadn't left it out of the package. So one star off for the missing sealer.

We have had our FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer Machine for several months. My wife made remarks about my need to buy gadgets that I end up not using. I got her involved using it right away. We really like it.Our first concerns were sealing items with fluid. My wife solved that issue by freezing prior to sealing. The mold she used was plastic meat trays that sliced meat is packaged in. She sealed vegetable soup, Chicken Spaghetti, and Lasagna. That took care of the fluid problem and I enjoyed the servings much later without the frost burn.We learned also the zip lock sandwich bags can be used. I found a you tube article that shows you how to create a method to permit vacuum sealing. The sandwich size bag allows for smaller packaging without the waste of larger bags. I thought that was pretty cool.We like camping a lot. The FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer Machine is great for space saving. Smaller quantities make packing and repackaging fun and challenging.I also like to hunt. The cost of commercial deer processing is not cost effective. The FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer machine allows me to finish my product, for long term storage, like the big boys do. I have used the paper packaging before and chose to never do it again. I don't like freezer burn.

We bought this FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer as a Christmas gift for our son to go with his new sous vide, and he was thrilled! He immediately noticed how well it works and how easy it is to use. The automatic bag detection is convenient, and it gives a tight, reliable seal every time. The bags that come with the unit were nice and thick and ready to handle hours in a sous vide bath. We were also happy to see that it has a smaller footprint than our older FoodSaver model, which saves counter space without sacrificing performance. Overall, it’s a sleek, efficient, and high-quality upgrade. He’s been using it nonstop since the holidays!

Works great and I like the additional features that it has compared to the one that I had 20 years ago. Hoping this one lasts another 20. Seems like a good quality and I’m very happy with it.
