I found the quality of the laser was nice. The 380 live shell measured .371 and the laser measured .373 When the shell is fired it will expand to the chamber size. The laser fit the chamber fine and a couple of thousandths would make no difference at 50 feet. I placed the laser in a precision V block and rotated it against the paper in the picture. The laser was not a perfect circle, but did not distort. It was centered nicely also. When the laser was put in the firearm in a fixed position against a white wall at 50ft it was round. I was able to adjust the dot of the firearm laser to line up with the laser bore sighter easily. The main purpose is to get you on the paper. So I don't see any quality issues with the bore sighter and I recommend it. It's fine for the money. If you need more precision make it yourself. Now to the range.

Don’t waste your money. This laser cartridge is really junk. In my Ruger security 380, it did not chamber properly. The slide never went fully into battery with the barrel which means the barrel was pointed to a different aim point than where it would point if the cartridge chambered properly. That makes it useless for zeroing sights or optics. It’s also very cheaply made. The batteries got stuck in the cap the first time I used it and the body of the think is as easy to bend as foil. I have a 9mm laser cartridge from a different company which is far higher quality. Bottom line is, this thing is junk. A final thought, I’m coming to the belief that the best laser sighting tool for a pistol or rifle is the type that just inserts into the muzzle of the barrel, not a cartridge that has to be precisely engineered so that it chambers properly, especially since most of those are make by fly by night manufactures like the outfit that made this thing.

Got this for a Bodyguard 2.0 that was shooting a little left. Got the bore sighter, placed it in the bore and the slide would not close. The laser was wildly off even when I repositioned the product. For what it’s worth the laser was very bright. Maybe just got a bad one but won’t buy from this company again Update: the manufacturer sent me a new bore sight and it works fine. Must have received a bad one the first time. Props to the manufacturer for quickly getting a new unit out in a timely manner!

Not extremely accurate, wish it was. But it did at least get me on paper. The target in the picture you can ignore the notes on it. This was initially going to be my sight in target for 200yds on a 35yd range. But they don’t allow .308 on the range. So I used this target for my .300 instead. The Point of Impact is where I was hitting with only adjustments made using the sighter. Made a few more adjustments after seeing where it hit on paper. Got the shots to Point of Aim, as I’ll be using this .300 as my short range hunting rifle this is fine. It’s for anything less than 100yds. This weekend I’ll see how far off the .308 bore sighter is that I purchased with this .300.
