TERRIFIC CHOICE FOR OVERWEIGHT / LESS ACTIVE DOGS.
I own three dogs a very active working springer, a retired but still active retriever, and a 5 year old Golden retriever who can only be described as a fireside dog.My active dogs walk at least 5 miles off the lead each day and feed on high protein foods. My inactive Goldie, trundles along by myside or just plain refuses to go out. Her perfect day is to lie on the back lawn and go visiting neighbours for pets and treats as she sees fit. Consequently weight has been an issue for her.I started using Chudley's light 2 years back on the advice of a game keeeper friend of ours. He uses it for retired working springers. It took time but a fter afew months , my girls weight stabilised at a heathly 26kg and has remained constant ever since. I also use the kibbles which are tubular as treats when training my working dog. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~WHAT'S GREATGodd quality low cal dog feedVery economical in 15kg sacksWell packaged in a thick grade plastic sackHandy for treats in your pocket, they are not oilyWHAT'S NOT SO GREATBecause this is low calorie it has little oil content and is very dry.A couple of sack's I had delivered resembled sweepings from the factory floor and had to be replaced. This was done by Amazon without question.IN A NUTSHELLA great low calorie affordable dog food for overweight or lazy dogs. Does what it says on the packet.

The dog likes it
Bought it because I wanted to cut down on the fat content of my dogs food. Used to feed him Millie’s but he developed a fat lump and noticed the fat content of his food was 14%. So looked online for some low fat food and this one had some good reviews so thought I’d give it a go. Luckily he likes it. He’s a doberman by the way. Hopefully it might shrink the lump but if not it’s worth a try. I’ll see how it goes next few weeks and update this.

My bitch likes a good chud
Dr Johns was making my Aussie a chunky beast. About a month on this, and she is now a skinny bitch. Really surprised me, she does eat a bit more than she used to on very active days, but it doesn't seem to be putting weight on her. Like some others have said, it gives her some hellish backfires, I've been choked out in my own room by her gas, and forced to open a window to breath.

Excellent value, perfect for dogs who need to loose weight
Needed a lighter food as my old Staffie isn't able to go walking as much any more - we go for a slow wander more than anything else. So with his previous food he was starting to get overweight, which I want to prevent, as that could lead to more health problems. By switching to this food, he can eat as much of it as he wants throughout the day (as I leave a bowl of dry food out all day for him and my Shih Tzu to graze on), plus I give them a good helping of the dry biscuits with sardines or tuna or meatballs in gravy mixed in, their main meal of the day, and they lick their bowls clean. (I gave the flavour 4 out of 5 only from my point of view - it doesn't smell like much to me - however both dogs took to it straight away and are still happily eating it now.)

Good for fat spayed aging bitches.
Have you got a fat spayed bitch? If so this is the food for you(r dog)!Lila is a big girl and exceptionally greedy; due to the weakness of me and my family she scores a lot of "extra" food, so we weigh her portion of this, and we've managed to hit a point where she's stable weight wise. Why this food? Many dogfoods are made with crap that really should go to a rendering plant not in something for consumption (by putting a nice looking dog with no environment Baker's has fooled the nation into thinking that their product is some sort of food for dogs, it is the dog version of "bangers" from the depths of a 90s supermarket freezer, which legally cannot name itself anything to do with sausages) this is a decent dog food.If your dog is a /greedy/ fat spayed bitch, you can add some water or left over gravy to the food, this slows the bitch down!Lastly, Lila has standards and there are some foods she will not eat (yes, shocking right! I know) she not only eats this but she does what we call "juicing" for it, which is why most of us wear shoes (but never just socks) as there are often wet patches on the floor in the kitchen. Lila juices for this.

It’s okay but...
Well the product isn’t bad and I do think my chunky pups lost some weight however this arrived today and I’m quiet shocked. I don’t feel very safe feeding it to him and I can’t even have the item retired for a new one. Quiet disappointed as I was beginning to think this was going to be a good food.

Husky Approved
So for the first week as we introduced the food our husky had insanely smelly farts, like opening the gates of hell itself after Lucifer's all you can eat brussel sprout party, sort of farts. They have stopped as she has adjusted. We're always careful when trying new food as she can be fussy, but this stuff she loves. A little too much, she immediately only ate the Chudley and the remaining old food had to have a few drops of fish oil on to tempt her.Now that we can breathe safely and she's happily munching away I'm very pleased with this product.
