This Fair Trade cacao powder is brought to you by a mainly female team of single mothers and thanks to the Fair Trade premiums, every time you buy our Drinking Chocolate, you'll be helping us to fund, amongst other things, education for these workers and their children, in the Dominican. The beans are harvested by hand before being fermented in red boxes and then are dried out and roasted, to remove the bitterness. The temperature for roasting is controlled to remain below 45C / 113F.
