I can’t speak to the long-term durability just yet—I’ll update in a year—but so far, I’m really impressed! I cleaned two of my large area rugs, and this cleaner was absolutely worth the investment. It works really well and was super easy to set up and get started.Check out the picture for reference: one of my rugs had been in the garage for a long time and was covered in yellow stains. I used Amazon Basics Carpet Oxy Cleaner along with this vacuum, and the results were amazing! The rug looks fantastic in the after photo.It cleaned thoroughly without leaving the rug soaking wet. It’s drying now, and I expect it’ll be completely dry in just a few hours since it extracted most of the water. I didn’t use the included cleaning solution, so I can’t review that part yet—but I plan to try it out later.One of the big selling points for me was that I can control when to dispense water and soap using a handle button—unlike other vacuums that do it automatically.For reference, I used one water tank per rug. So far, I’m really happy with this purchase!

I'd give this machine 10 stars if it were possible!! Of the 3 different carpet washers, this one is the best!I owned a Dirt Devil carpet cleaner. It did a better than the water system attachments for my Rainbow Cleaner. The suction was better, but it required additional upper body effort to extract the solution. The wet system for my Rainbow was very narrow and didn't have wheels on it and required even more upper body effort. My shoulder would hurt for days after I was done.The Kenmore KW4070 is amazing. I counted out the 9 capfuls of cleaning solution into a measuring cup. It comes up to 1/3 Cup. That saves you time when you go filling the clean solution container.The machine is so easy to set up and disassemble for clean-up. I love that the lid that covers the rollers comes out completely, so you can clean it well. My Dirt Devil and Rainbow wash system didn't do that. It always looked gross.I still use my Rainbow cleaner for vacuuming. I love the water canister that never loses suction. I also get great satisfaction on seeing what it really does through the see-through cannister. I vacuumed all the carpet really well with the Rainbow before washing. That water alone was horrendous!!! I worked on the perimeter carpet next to the molding using the 6" attachment. It worked a charm! After doing the perimeters, then I washed the carpet. I was in disbelief how filthy the carpet was. Whenever I've washed carpet my whole life, I've always gone back over it with a clear-water rinse. So, each of the rooms were done twice. I don't want soap dried in carpet. I believe the residue draws more dust and dirt in the future.The 'rinse water' was a lighter dirt color with additional foam.The extractor is so efficient that the carpet was dry in about 3.5 hours...max!I still have 2 rooms, 5 dining room chairs, 2 recliners, the basement, and the basement stairs to do.This machine has more than paid for itself already. If you tally the entire job, it would have cost me well over $700. The professionals charge around $15.00 per stair...alone.There is one concession. I wish the dirty water tank held more fluid.I look forward to my first vaccuming with the Rainbow to see the complete analysis. The carpet you see is 28 years old! It may not look great, but it is in very good condition. This is the best it's going to get. No shoes allowed rule over the entire time. It's my mom's condo. I can't replace it yet.UPDATE 1/21/2025: i finished all the jobs previously mentioned except for the stairs and basement. The machine has already paid for itself. I Googled the going rate for professional carpet cleaners. It would cost me over $700 just for the upstairs cleaning. They charge per square foot.The pictures I posted are the ivory carpet throughout the condo. This carpet was put down in 1996 when my dad had the place built. The 2nd picture of the variegated taupes is the breakfast nook. I took the picture so you could see a before/after comparison. That carpet is 3 years old. As you can see the difference in the portion at the bottom after cleaning, with the top still needing to be done. The machine restored the carpet to what it looked like when it was placed November 2021.

If I could give this 10 stars, I would! I bought this for my father‘s house. He is a smoker. We have family who visits who bring their dogs, mine included. This carpet cleaner is so easy to use. It gives such a thorough, deep, cleaning that you would think a professional carpet cleaner had come to your house.It’s not heavy. I would recommend ordering additional carpet cleaner with your purchase because you will be so happy with the results that you want to clean your entire house so just go ahead and buy additional cleaning liquid from Amazon.The carpet dries quickly. The cord is plenty long! It’s a solid, well-made vacuum cleaner. It’s not super heavy. My 89 year-old father would have no problems moving it around. The instructions let you know how to clean the carpet. It is not complicated.Noise level was reasonable. Some carpet cleaners leave the carpet overly saturated. This one does not. It moves along at the speed of a regular vacuum cleaner but, as you are watching it suction up the dirt from your carpet, you will be so caught up in the grime that is coming out of your carpet that you will just naturally slow down to take your time.The vacuum didn’t seem to bother my dog at all. I would absolutely buy this product again. I have recommended this vacuum carpet cleaner to so many people!When finished, it looked as though we had just installed new carpet.

This shampooer cleans deeper than the RugDoctor’s I’ve rented previously. Very light weight so I was worried it wouldn’t be heavy enough to clean deeply but thankfully I was wrong. The hose attachment also works incredibly well for stairs, mattresses and couches. The only issue I’ve had is that the clean water tank has cracked at the bottom causing it to not hold water for long and there’s no replacement tank for it yet (2024 model-did not purchase the warranty) without the purchase of a new shampooer entirely. It still holds the water long enough for me to shampoo small areas but whatever water is left over from the shampooing will leak out so I have to dump it when I’m done. It still works great but I recommend getting the warranty with it. I’m not a warranty purchaser but this one I wish I would’ve splurged on!

Works great but the water tank cracked without anyone touching it. It’s cheap plastic. I hate that there’s no warranty. I am going to call. If they resolve my issue I will update this post. Why would they make it with cheap plastic that literally shatters !
