Curious, I took a flyer on this product - and picked the flavor with the fewest critical reviews stating specific concerning complaints. So, I'm surprised and impressed with the sharpness, flavor, and quality. As pricey as this is, I find this cheddar worth it. Size? Okay by me, but I'd buy bigger if any were on offer. Melting isn't on my list of things to do.

Having a shelf stable cheese is great for travel and an option for home use. Powder is fine but a regular variety in a block is a welcome option. The taste is delicious. It is dense and tasty. Very filling on a little. Price wise, it’s similar to what we pay in the stores. Usually buy organic at Natural Grocer, Co-op, or Aldi. One notable difference from refrigerated cheese (though should put this in the fridge when opened) this cheese doesn’t melt. It might be softer but it’s my experience this cheese doesn’t melt in soup, on chili, or in bread. But direct to pan might a little but more like get soft and gooey not liquid in that it is runny. For melting cheese store bought fridge cheese is best. Like, when tried on homemade pizza the Italian variety was as solid coming out as it was going in. Me, don’t mind this one difference from refrigerated. This cheese is more like organic as it’s dense in texture. Compared to conventional block cheese. Where it can sometimes be a bit like a rubber texture. The dairy source quality is obvious. Since we enjoy stocking up on shelf stable foods through winter and have a vintage basement built to maintain a constant temperature year round in heat stroke waves this is a great product to store. Being from Wisconsin hoped it would be a quality tasty delight. And it is. Used it for American tacos to give it a try. And gave the German Shepherd a piece. We both approve of how delicious it is. I’m also trying the four pack to see what the other flavors are like. Will be repurchasing. Have my sub and save orders set for the future delivery when these are finished

Extremely good cheese! Keeps very well in the refrigerator for a long time! I love my cheese!! Mounts very well in all recipes and on a cheeseburger sandwich. The price is very agreeable and the sharpness is just what I like not too sharp but just sharp enough. I highly recommend this cheese.

Dyed a bright yellow and taste is very bad.

We were impressed with the flavors and the texture of the cheese. Excellent when served warm on crackers. Also shredded to add as topper to some soup and it was wonderful.
