I have been greatly enjoying boiled eggs cooked with this egg cooker. Can boil up to 6 eggs or poach up to 3 eggs. Comes with a measuring cup that has a needle at the base for puncturing eggs (make them cook faster). You need to use oil or similar on the tray for poached eggs so they don't stick to the tray. Cooks eggs in 3 min to 10 min depending on how runny you want the yolk. There is a loud alarm that sets off automatically when eggs are cooked. Sleek design. Cooks the perfect egg. Amazing value for money. Easy to use and comes with instruction booklet. Less water added = shorter timer & more runny egg.

It's a really good egg cooker and gives consistent results but you have to learn to use the water meaurer correctly to get the right cook. Not sure about the need to puncture the top of the egg, the spike on the bottom of the measurer is brutal! Timing wise, it's probably not a lot quicker than filling up a pan from the kettle, just less faff. It's relatively easy to clean, apart from you'll need to use a drop of oil for poached eggs as it's not non stick. Very compact and doesn't take up a lot of space but the power cord is very short. Seems reasonable for the money if you get it at a discount.

This boils eggs perfectly. I wish I had bought one sooner. Pros: - So easy to use, just follow the instructions. - Quiet running and finished alarm is nice and loud. - Poaching tray is non-stick, but still benefits from a little oil. - Takes up minimal counter space. - So much easier and quicker than using a pan. - Cooks perfect eggs every time!! Cons: - None.

This is my second attempt at an egg cooker with the first being unreliable so I went with a brand I knew. Works great, simple on/off switch and beeps when finished. It beeps when the water has ran out, that's why it's important to use the cup provided to put the right amount of water for your wanted egg type and readiness. Bargain for the money, simple to use, small enough to tuck away in a cupboard and looks pretty good if on the side.

I bought this because I recognised the brand and I have to say it worked great. Handy, easy to use, good results. I was very pleased but after about 4 months of daily use it stopped working (lights on, no heat). I was outside the Amazon returns window so connected Philips using the link Amazon provided. They said "no problem, it's within the 2 year warranty period so we'll send a replacement." Awesome I thought. Then a few hours later a follow up email came saying something about it not being a product provided by Philips UK so they could not replace it and I had to go back to Amazon. Bit random, came with a UK plug, says Philips on it and it came with a UK plug.. Anyway I went back to Amazon and they have sorted it fair play. I did note on the box that it seems the Philips name is used under licence and it's imported by a company called Versuni UK. It's made in China, so I expect it's no different to the unknown brand names on Amazon now. Not quite sure what to replace it with!

Previously had a standard round egg boiler that lasted me around 4 years. Decided to go for a trusted brand and a higher price. This looks and feels quality. However, this takes a lot more water than my previous one and so takes a lot longer to boil, but nevertheless still works perfectly. If you want a quick boiler, this might not be the one but if you want a trusted brand that looks good too, then this is the one.
