Remarkable Sound Quality
OK, this is somewhat of a disclaimer, but I am a Sony fan, particularly their BRAVIA line. So I wanted to really like this - and I absolutely love it. I’m fortunate to have a premium Sony sound system in my house. And I wanted to have a nice speaker for travel, which I do very frequently for work. I of course use both headsets and earbuds for connecting to my iPad, but there are times when I don’t want to be as removed from what’s going on around me, like in a hotel room.I have used a really nice speaker in hotels, but in order to get a really nice sound quality I have to turn it up pretty loud - and I seriously don’t want to bother people in neighboring rooms. And, when laying on the bed, for example, that speaker doesn’t work really well - where do you put it? Many times there are knocks on the door or the phone rings and headphones are too removed. This is a fantastic compromise. It allows you to be fully immersed in the sound, while not removing you from what’s happening. The sound quality, as I put in the title of this review, is truly remarkable. I have no idea how they did it, of course, but the sound is almost very nearly what headsets allow. I’m very impressed. The battery lasts a very long time - I do recharge it after use, so I’m not sure how long it lasts, but I do know it’s several hours.NOTE: As described in Sony’s information, this IS NOT for use everywhere. It is NOT for use on a plane, it is NOT for use in the gym. Or anywhere that others would hear. (I have not tried it paired with another BRAVIA U.). But it gives the wearer fully immersive sound and does not remove you from surroundings. If this compromise between a speaker and headsets fits your needs, you cannot go wrong with this speaker. I more than highly recommend.

Versatile
Really 4.5. I also have a set of Bose Soundwear and their sound is slightly better. These are also a winner...decent sound and a really big plus is that you can use these and the TV speakers simultaneously. effective allowing two different sound levels for viewer. I use them with a Sony Bravia 8.

Excellent sound
I was a fan of Sony’s previous version of this. I was careless enough to drop that one enough times where I needed a new one, and decided to get this.I wasn’t expecting it to be a significant improvement, but it really is. The sound is a lot clearer, including the bass. The battery also seems to last significantly longer. It’s even smaller and lighter.

Great Sound, Works Just as I Hoped
This thing is great! It’s a more spacial (I said “spacial,” not “special”) sound experience than headphones/earbuds. Unlike headphones/earbuds, I can still somewhat hear the world around me, and my ears don’t get hot or irritated after wearing it for a long stretch. It sounds like I’m in a theater! Yet the person I live with can barely hear anything just 10 feet away. I also like that it connects to my TV and phone at the same time, and when I briefly listen to audio on my phone while watching TV, it automatically pauses the thing I’m watching on my TV (obviously this wouldn’t work with some external TV sources, such as cable boxes). You may have to install the Sony app for that feature to work (as I did). I’m not sure.A couple of design improvements I would like to see though: (1) it would be nice if it were adjustable for larger necks (like mine). I have a 20 inch neck, so the speakers don’t come forward as far as they would if my neck were smaller. This means that the sound comes a bit more from the side as opposed to the front, and that it wants to slip off of me more easily when I stand up. (2) The virtual surround sound feature should not be limited to *Sony* TV connections. That’s ridiculous. I paid Sony for this product, and its capabilities should be fully accessible to me. It still sounds fantastic though, so I don’t feel like I’m missing anything while I’m using it.

Love it!
UPDATE ON 1/1/25. Now that we have our Sony Bravia TV, we’re loving using these speakers while watching shows and movies. My husband doesn’t hear as well as I do, so these are perfect for us because we can each listen at our own volume. The surround sound is fantastic and it’s so nice to not have the TV sound blaring. Has to be better for our ears - and our pets as well!Although we have yet to receive the TV we ordered to go with them, we started using these speakers today while listening to music on our phone and laptop, and we’re loving them so far. They feel slightly heavy at first, but we’re getting used to them. The sound is awesome and it’s nice that we can have the volume low enough so that it’s not blaring in our ears, but we still get that high quality stereo sound. I usually listen to music or news on my phone during the day while I’m working (from home), rather than have it blaring through the house, and I get tired of having pods in my ears, plus these sound so much better. Thinking forward to listening to movies with these, I’m they will be better for preserving our hearing over time, since we won’t have our TV blaring. All in all, I highly recommend them, even though this is our first day using them. I’ll follow up if that changes.

Poor sound quality but convenient.
If you focus on sound quality, don't buy it. Its sound quality is not good. If the sound quality is good, I will give it five stars. Which similar product has high sound quality? Please let me know, thank you!Its advantage is that it is so convenient that you will forget that its existence is still hanging around your neck. It will fall to the ground when you take off your clothes or bend down and lower your head. So, just in case, tie a rope like a glasses rope.
