Bluebird Modeling Paste 600GM / 21.2oz - High Density, Acrylic Medium - for Texture and Thickness, Dimension Additive

Doing a little bit of research, I realize that this is a company based in Pakistan so I guess that’s why this is the first time I am hearing of it, but please carry more of their products as I see that they have a line of colored molding paste. The texture is fantastic. It is very Smooth and easily glides on and yet still creates fantastic texture and height. Recently, I’ve been having a problem with other brands with bubbles and ridges and lines and this one definitely is smooth sailing pun intended, It really is quality molding paste. My only wish is that when I received it it was filled to the brim as you can tell it is hand whipped, and whether it’s from travel or whatever the case, it is not filled to the top of the container. The quality , price point and a the artwork it is creating is obviously much more important but in terms of value because I definitely will be purchasing more. I’m hoping the next one is filled to the brim lol I’m definitely going to try their gesso next. I hope Amazon will carry more of their products as I am hesitant to buy Directly from their site as my understanding the exchange rate of Pakistani dollars to US currency Is nonexistent. Alexa said it was thousands of dollars lol. That scared me enough to table for a bit. However, hands-down, definitely A fabulous molding paste that every artist that uses it should try- You will be happy you did!

First time I’ve ever tried using paste in my artwork - thrilled with the results. This is a very easy and fun product to work with, it dries slowly so you’re able to blend while you work at your own pace. Highly recommend!

This is a great product for adding textures and depth to canvases. The product dries fairly quick, and does not shrink much, if any. I have only used it with acrylic paints, but coverage has been easy and uniform. I love using depth in my paintings and this helps me achieve this. Great product!

I liked the texture of the paste and how easily it applies. First time user here and would recommend!

I really like using this modeling paste. This is the first time I've used this type of product and now I'm wishing I had tried it sooner.It has a nice, smooth consistency and holds it's shape very well. I've only done a few small test pieces with it, but I can't wait to work on a larger project.I did a few tests. First one was a thin layer that I used various brush strokes to create texture. It dried quickly with very little shrinkage, so the texture after drying was almost identical to when it was wet. Next, I put it on a little thicker and dragged a comb/rake through it. That took a little longer to dry, but still very little distortion after drying. The third test I did was using a piping bag to create swirls. This is the one I had the most fun with. I found that after letting it dry for about 12 hours, even though it wasn't fully dried, it had formed a rather thick skin over the surface. I was able to use metal tools on this skin to create more texture without the paste sticking to the tools. I used a dotting tool and needle tool to create a series of impressions in the swirls. The only drawback to such a thick application is that, even after allowing it to dry for over a month, if I press it with a fingernail, the impression will still show. I am not sure if that is a property that is inherent in all brands of modelling paste or just this one. However, it does appear to be fully cured at this point. Since it's not common for people to go pressing fingernails into their artwork, I'm not too worried about it.

This is a decent modeling paste and works well in some situations for me, not so much for others.It's very thick/heavy. In my photo of it on a stick it never fell off the stick even though it's being held upside down.I found that when I applied it thinly through a stencil (photo) it worked great. It was smooth and edges were crisp and it dried quickly.But when I tried to use it in a mold it took two days to dry (which they tell you so no deception). That really slows me down. I'm the type that waiting two days for one element to dry and not being able to finish my piece in the meantime drives me nuts. Once it was dry it was flexible (photo) but the details were not crisp and as the closeup photo shows there is not a smooth surface, there are lots of "holes" and such.I actually like the stuff but the slow drying will have me limiting my use of it to pieces that can sit for two days untouched...and that's not most of my collages. I would use it through a stencil as long as it's thin enough to dry quickly.
