Maui Jim Men's and Women's Big Wave Polarized Wrap Sunglasses

I could not recommend Maui Jim more if they paid me (which they don’t).I bought my first pair of Maui Jim in 1995 and dropped them, breaking the frame, in 2018. That’s probably longer than I’ve owned any inanimate object. I sent them to the company to be repaired. After about a week, the company returned to me a pair that looked brand new, in a hard case, for a very reasonable price, a fraction of the original cost. So much for customer service.I bought a second pair, the one I am reviewing here, because I felt I needed a spare. These are a different style. Both pairs share comfort of fit and crisp clarity of the polarized optics.That’s all.

This is my second pair of Maui Jim's. I had an eye surgery and wanted a little more protection and these were perfect. It's almost like wearing a pair of goggles. The blue mirror finish really brightens the world up. These glasses are distortion free and ridiculously light weight so much so I forget that I'm wearing them.These do not come with the traditional Maui Jim hard case, I tried fitting them in my old case and they're just too big so expect it to come with the new folding case.

So first I ordered these in olive. The picture is very clearly green, and despite the box saying olive, they were very much brown. In addition, they are extremely lightweight. Like cheap sunglasses light. I own several pairs of MJ’s and all of them are nicely built. These were very flimsy. They were also huge. I returned them and as waiting for my refund but buyers beware on this one something’s not quite right.

The glass is excellent, polarization phenomenal especially for fishing (inshore brown/green lenses, offshore blue lenses). The fit is very wide for average size faces/heads. But for us big heads you couldn’t order a lighter, sleeker, pair of sunglasses. The price is expensive but it’s Maui Jim and you won’t find better deals anywhere on earth because of price control. Still the material of the frame feels premium and flexible despite the light weight. 4/5 stars would buy again and have bought a black pair on top of the tortoise ones. Price is a negative, but the quality more than makes up for it.

Wonderful polarized sunglasses. Classy and good looking. Really takes the glare away. Well made and worth it.

I really like these sunglasses. I have been looking for a decent pair of bronze/brown lenses glasses for months. The problem is I have a big head (in more ways than one). It is harder than you think to find a nice pair of sunglasses when you’re looking for a wide fit. These fit perfectly and don’t leave grooves along my temples back to my ears. And they’re very good for bright light and driving which is what I needed.

These glasses are awesome, I already had the BAMBOO ones that I love, these are a bit bigger, which is what I was looking for and I can say they fit great!!

The sunglasses are beautiful. But they arrived dirty and the case is damaged.
