Updated 09 Dec 2016 -- upped my rating to 5 star. Pillows are broken in and I'm very pleased with this purchase. Very comfortable for side or stomach sleeping. Even with all the rocks in my head, they are holding up well, sinking in just enough to retain comfort throughout the night. Glad I have them. Zzzzzzzzzzz!!!! Purchased in Aug 2016: Hard to buy pillows online but the description was accurate about the pillow type and the 550 fill, and firmness. Odd though that I ordered these on the website that showed "pillows by Better Down, sold by Quality Pillow" which matched the actual image on the website. I received what are similar pillows from/by "Continental Bedding". Even the label inside the plastic bag packaging was identical to the "Better Down" pillows listed, other than the company name. I get angry when these vendors swap products out and mix and match and mislead customers. I was going to return these but after considerable thought and not wanting to be further inconvenienced I opted for keeping the pillows that were sent. If this were clothing or tools or shoes, so what, but on products that my face will be on every night, I'd prefer accuracy on my orders and get exactly what is listed on the webpage I'm ordering from. The pillows are firm and good for back and side sleeping, seem to be stitched well, sturdy, with only a mild "feathery odor" which I know dissipates from down pillows in awhile. It's very mild. I would have ordered the Royal Hotel pillows but they are only 28 inch, and I prefer the 30 inch length so kept the set I received. While on the bed these pillows look like they're blown full of air because they stand so tall; just saying they are plenty full of down and do not squish much during the night. I alternate sleeping on my stomach and side, and these pillows are fine. I know over time down will lose some fluff (my old set did/pretty flat now) so the 550 fill is very good now, although a bit more firm than I wanted but that's OK. They'll break in a bit over time. These are full and after you push your hand into the pillow, it bounces back well. They are covered in a good amount of material so I expect they'll last. These were not cheap, and I'm still annoyed these did not match what I ordered; something odd going on, that these are being sold under different names, can't find the manufactures online anywhere, web pages do t match what I ordered..... Dunno, I guess it'll be fine if I get what I paid for as these are expensive pillows...so far so good but I've only had them a week.

These are lovely pillows. They are fully 100% white goose down with no added feathers, the medium loft is perfect - not too soft and not too hard - and they fit our Queen pillow cases perfectly. I have both Queen and King pillows on my bed and I needed to replace the Queen pillows as they were so old that they lost their loft over time. It was hard to find such good pillows at such an amazing price but Continental Bedding certainly delivered quality and value! I'll be looking to them for future purchases. I had a set from another company that failed to deliver 1 of a set of 2 pillows and the one that arrived had half the down fill it needed to even be 'soft.' It was worse than the 20 year old pillow it was to have replaced! Continental Bedding scores very high on quality, value, shape retention (they fluff back to full loft with a few shakes of the pillows), cooling, and I know full well they will wash perfectly because they have a great, high thread count cover. Super great product.

This pillow is phenomenal!! I can’t even express the help it brought me when I needed it most! I’ve been working with my chiropractor and doctor the past several months with a couple of injuries. Part of the side effects of my injuries are chronic neck pain and headaches. My chiropractor convinced me to try a very expensive, fancy, pre-formed style pillow. In spite of my hesitation (I have always preferred feather/down pillows), I went ahead and gave the new pillow a 2 week test run. Much to my disappointment, it actually increased my discomfort to the point of not being able to get any relief from constant, all-consuming headaches. Halfway through the second week, I searched Amazon, reading reviews and researching pillow fill amounts, etc... I was highly impressed by the positive reviews of this pillow and ordered it. Shipping was quick and remarkably, one night on this pillow seemingly reversed what the pre-formed pillow had done! Every night on it is a good sleep and I look forward to sinking my head into it!!! Pros: Perfect amount of fill! I was worried when I first took it out of the package it would be too full, but with it being all down, it’s perfection! I sink into it just right, while being supported. Doesn’t get hot like other pillows seem to! The queen size is the perfect width for my side of our queen bed. Doesn’t have feather quills that poke through. Cons: That I didn’t find it sooner!!!

I was so so excited that these two pillows arrived finally. I opened the box and they were packed inside the usual thick plastic bag with one side zipper for pillows and comforter you would get from the department stores. As soon as I opened them, I love the way they feel and hug them. However, I notice there’s a hint of animal smell ( I guess they should have a smell since it’s made out of goose?). I slept on them last night with two layers of pillow cases wrapped over them, but the smell just got stronger over night. But I have to admit I slept really well last night. They fell like similar pillows when we stayed at the 5 stars hotels. I don’t know if putting them in the washing machine would help to get rid of the smell or I just received a bad batch? There’s not a washateria near me, so I have to go around to find one and wash them because home washing machine just would not fit them. The pillows could have 5 stars if they didn’t smell like wet animals.... I have to take away one star for that. I enclosed some photos and a video to share with the future buyers. The tissue bid was placed next to it to show the height of it when lay flat. Unfortunately I can’t upload the “smell”...

After using those pillows, and taking the best care of them.. They flattened totally, and the quality is way below expected. Not worth their price. Do not buy. This review has been written after using those pillows for some time, and not when recieving them, as I wanted the review to be as genuine as possible.

Maybe they’re a bit too soft. But I bought the medium and they’re hard.
