I was looking for a new replacement throw for my bed. My kitty cat loves to knead dough and the blanket we had for years was starting to look ratty. This blanket is light weight and SO soft, during the day the blanket is mine to lounge comfortably, and my kitty's blanket at night to knead away. The blanket drapes over my queen-sized bed perfectly.

There seems to be a trend lately for fleece throws to be of the super-shaggy variety. While this throw looks very sculpted in the promo photos, if you look closely you'll see that there is a sculpted side and a shaggy side.In many ways this throw blanket is great: it's exactly what you see in the promo pics. I don't think I could take better pictures to accurately show what this blanket looks like! The feel is harder to describe. If you are used to the fleece throws from a few years ago, you'll find this one has a deeper "pile" but also a looser and less dense weave. While it is extremely soft and cozy, this sparser, longer fleece is actually a little less soft that one might think.It came through its first wash and dry cycle just fine, but I am a little worried about how it will fare through multiple washings. I'll add to this review if it surprises me (positively or negatively) after further wear and tear.Overall, it's a satisfactory throw blanket
