When I first received my order, the box was damaged and parts were missing. I contacted the company directly and within 24 hrs, a pickup was issued, a new order placed and a credit issued to Amazon. The second order arrived intact two days later and was of high quality--like the company itself. Overall I am very pleased. my only quibble is that the press is black, not the red advertised.

This thing is just way too small for anything. Pretty much useless. States there is up to an 18-in usable area but that is 1000% not the case you're lucky if you get 9 1/2 inches. Cost $52 to return so you're pretty much stuck with those stupid tool that you can't even use. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM

This tabletop press is the perfect size for the projects I’m doing.

The box came very battered and the bottle jack leaked and wouldn't pump up.After assembly (easy, although not the greatest construction), I found that the bottle jack was no good. I contacted JEGS and they were quick to ship me a replacement bottle jack (at not cost). Unfortunately, this did leave me with scrap metal (the bottle jack) to deal with but at least they didn't have to send me a whole new press!In short, this is a great deal but if you're pressed for time you might find yourself up a creek waiting for replacement parts to make it work.

This is a useful tool, but they didn't execute this the best:1. the hole for the ram is really sloppy. I ended up putting a copper pipe between the ram and the hole that it goes through so it wouldn't have so much slop. Seems just as easy to cut a hole that's the right size as the wrong size.2. the holes for the assembly bolts are in weird locations (really angled and tight against adjacent features) which makes them hard to tighten and hard to get the unit set up square.3. when the ram is all the way retracted, the springs are under no load, so they don't retract the jack all the way. I ended up bending the washers that hold the springs to get another 1/2" so the springs would be in tension at the top of the stroke and pull it all the way back up instead of most of the way back up.4. they didn't send the right hardware with it. They were super responsive in sending the right stuff, but it just pushed back my being able to use it.5. It sure would be nice if there was a bolt-on or clip-on cup that came with it so you have a place to store the lever handle.

The head of the press that contacts your work is not flat. This will twist the work piece to one side and not push straight. If you’re making coin rings the results will be bad. Do not buy if you expect it to push straight down, it will not. The push shaft is also very loose in the cross brace below the Jack so it shakes all the way down, also part of the not pushing straight problem. The press arrived without the springs, the company sent them after a 27 minute phone call. It’s not a nice looking piece of equipment. The welds look sloppy and the joints are not square. I would not buy this again, nor any Jegs products. As is I have to buy 3rd party products just to make this one operational. Expect to customize and modify this press. Or maybe just buy the press without the problems to start.

Perfect size for pressing out bearings. Great price and shipped out fast.
