This metal mirror is stiffer and harder to scratch than its acrylic alternatives.

I purchased this mirror for reptile searching. Reflecting the sun into crevices is amazing with this mirror. It's fairly large and puts a lot of light where ever you want it. It is a bit larger than I'd like for carrying, it fits in a back pocket but not practical in a front pocket. After my next trip with it I might cut it in half. There is a hole in it for a lanyard but this hole could also be used for signaling, wouldn't be as accurate as the purpose made ones with the hole in the center. The reflective image is clear and accurate, not as sharp as a quality glass mirror but it's more than effective for shaving and my wife has used it for makeup.I've read people have not been able to get the protective film off and they ruined the mirror trying. I had no such problem, the film came off with the same ease as a stamp. The alternate side is not as reflective and was left pretty much unpolished to keep the cost down.If you want a mirror that won't break I doubt you could find anything better for ten times the price.... I tried.

Mounted the mirror to a busy board we built for my grandson. One edge was a little sharp but a quick touch with a file cleaned it up. Because it is polished steel it is unbreakable and safe for kids, and the hole in it made it easy to mount. Just what we needed

Needed a sturdy highly reflective mirror for travel, and this fits the bill perfectly. Sharp image and easy to clean. The edges at some places were a little bit rough, but a quick wipe with a piece of medium grit sandpaper smoothed them out. Highly recommended.

The edges are not well finished and are jagged metal in places. This mirror would need to be kept in a sleeve to avoid damage to other gear. Also beware your fingers when handling.

Wish it shipped with a little protective sleeve, but you can add that.

I can't recommend this product.About 3 1/4" wide by 4 1/4" long, it's too big to comfortably carry in a pocket.One side of the mirror, the "back" side I hope, has deep parallel scratches or machining marks. Not suitable as a mirror at all.The other side of the mirror looks dull and all scratched up as it comes out of the box, but this side has a layer of protective plastic on it. After removing the plastic, the mirror brightened some, but its finish is dull and scratchy. It has easily visible scratches from being polished with a too-coarse abrasive. They stopped short of the fine polishing step that might have given the "mirror" a mirror-quality finish.Better than nothing, I guess.I bought this mirror to replace an older, slightly smaller stainless mirror I'd had for years. That one (about 3" x 4" and pocket friendly) had a bright, mirror quality finish despite being traveled with considerably.They don't make them like they used to.

A highly polished stainless-steel mirror that fits in a belt pouch, pack, first-aid kit, or camp kitchen box is kind of a no-brainer. I won't try to list all the possible uses for a mirror when doing these activities, but the list includes self-examination of eyes or wounds, removing thorns or stings, and so on. Plastic mirrors cost more than these polished Stainless Steel ones, but plastic breaks easily in the cold, if sat on, and is easily scratched if badly packed or stored. Stainless Steel mirrors like this one have none of those problems. This mirror is large enough to be useful, small enough for even a belt pouch. A hole at one end lets you hang it up using a bit of cord, wire, or even a twig. The polished stainless steel is thin and lightweight, extremely strong and durable, easy to pack, and inexpensive. They're money well spent.

Ich habe länger nach einem solchen Spiegel gesucht, und war misstrauisch gegenüber der einzigen Bewertung hier zum Produkt, und diese auch noch mit nur 2 Sternen.Naja dachte ich mir, kostet ja nicht die Welt. Also bestellt.Heute kam der Spiegel und er ist erstaunlich wertig, das hatte ich nach vorstehender Bewertung nicht erwartet. Auch kann ich nicht sagen, das die Ränder eine Wölbung aufweisen. Für einen Metallspiegel ist die Spiegelfläche sehr gut. Die eigentliche Fläche ist sogar mit einer Schutzfolie versehen. Selbst wenn man diese nicht ablöst ist der Spiegel m.E.n. absolut outdoor tauglich.Kratzfestigkeit kann ich noch nicht Beurteilen, auf den ersten Blick hat die Rückseite des Spiegels aber feine Kratzer, von daher ist es gut möglich.Aber genau das was ich gesucht habe, kein Schnick-Schnack, sondern einen einfachen Metallspiegel. Erwartungen voll erfüllt.
