Do NOT order from CARIBBEAN GARDEN.
Ordered from CARIBBEAN GARDEN (a nursery in Pennsylvania) APRIL 29th; they didn’t ship until MAY 28th, and were finally received (via 1st Class mail) on JUNE 1st. I received only 7 (not 10) dried (and most crumbling) bulbs inside a paper bag. I planted them within an hour after their arrival, taking the same care as I’ve done with all my bulbs, and marked their placement within my garden so I could closely monitor their progress and write an update to this review. Stay tuned... JULY 16th: Only ONE bulb has grown. I ordered from this same source (CARIBBEAN GARDEN) a second time. I did receive 10 bulbs in this second order (which also took more 30 days to arrive) which were also small and in poor condition upon arrival. Order #2 produced 5 plants. I will not order from CARIBBEAN GARDEN in the future. I’ve ordered Caladium bulbs from 5 other sources this year, all received in less than 10 days and all with a much superior success rate (93-100%). Bottom line: I will not order any product being fulfilled by CARIBBEAN GARDEN in the future.

Gorgeous and great variety!
Gorgeous! I love them! The bulbs were big and healthy. Once they grew I saw that I received 5 different kinds! I planted 1 bulb per pot. All have sprouted! Cons: they took weeks to sprout. Pros: Once they sprouted they grew fast! Some are bigger than my hand. They are easy to care for. They seem to grow best in the shade. I burnt one in direct sunlight, but no problem I just cut it down to the soil line and new leaves started budding the next day!

They Germinated!!!!!!
Well, this review may be a bit premature. But, I'm excited. I received them on May 18. I planted them 2 days later and kept them inside in separate pots in a produce bag. They really took forever to germinate. But once they started coming up all the others followed suit. Thus far I have 100% germination success. It's still too early to tell if they are all mixed colors. Two of them are the same color. But very pretty. I will follow up with a second review once they all open up. They are all outside now.

planted at the end of April, came out at the end of June
Planted 2 inch deep and watered as advised but out of 10, not a single one came out. UPDATE: when I thought they won't come out anymore they appeared. And they are beautiful! Some are planted in partial sun and some in shade. The one in partial sun came out sooner and in bigger number then the other ones. I couldn't believe they needed 2 month to sprout. Changed from one star to five.

5 of 10 Bulbs Sprouted within 30 Days of Planting
I'm glad to see that 5 of the 10 bulbs have sprouted. The bulbs didn't look pretty dried out upon delivery. Also, something like a skunk or critter appeared to have dug some of them up. I replanted the ones that had been dug up that I spotted by the dug up hole. They are beautiful looked. Three varieties so far, as circled in my pictures. Hopefully, they are indeed perennial for the NE, and will reappear again next spring. Hopefully, more will also sprout. Unless they were duds or eaten by our resident skunk.

All popping up!
They all are popping up beautifully.. I planted them pretty early it took a month or so because the ground MUST be warm for them to start growing. Also it is important that you add bulb tone and or quality fertilizer to help them out. I'm in zone 7.. so I will have to dig them up in the fall. I will definitely purchase from them again I ordered two times from this company.. and I received more bulbs then I ordered and I would say 90% of them have already popped out of the ground.. even the small little pieces will produce a leaf... So please try not to judge a bulb by its looks.. properly plant them and wait until the ground soil is the proper temperature.. then state your complaint. Thank you!! I will definitely be ordering again

SCAM- these are Taro Root Bulbs not Caladium
You can buy taro root In many Asian markets for cheap- they will grow a tropical looking plant as they are in the elephant ear family like caladium, but taro, while related to caladium, are not caladium! They will grow a solid green plant. I reached out to the seller and they responded quickly that I needed to let the plant grow more to develop colors and wait till it’s warmer… But fancy caladium colors sprout with their fancy colors ... they do not sprout green and then change later… That’s not how this plant grows- also I live in the desert so I’m in a mild climate and I’m growing these indoors under grow lights where the temperatures are 70° every day. I responded to the seller with this information and they did not respond to me. Amazon has now requested a refund from the seller on my behalf, so we will see what happens. Attached is one photo of one of the plants- all of them look this way. I also am growing Taro root that I bought from the grocery store and it is identical. When I first received the bulbs I thought thry looked like taro root, but since I haven’t grown caladium from bulbs before I thought they could look similar, but I have since purchased caladium bulbs from a different supplier and they also look completely different.
