not all wire are equal
great light bought 3 of them one at a time, one each for 3 30 gallon tanks, so i was impressed with light for the price and they really light up tanks. but the third one i ordered had shorter hanging wires and screwed up my plans for my aquarium scene. Lucky for me i only used 2 wires to hang lights on a curtain rod instead of ceiling so i had extra wires of correct length. want to order 2 more and hanging from another curtain rod. thinking twice but then again if one of the two are the correct length i should be good.

High quality!
This light is the real deal. It was inexpensive so I had my doubts but this light is high end.

Good inexpensive lighting, rusts easily
Just over four years of ownership and this does the job for a 24 inch deepcoral reef tank. However, because the chassis is made entirely out of steel, it rusted like you would not believe. It still works, but I got to the point where I was afraid to touch it for fear of it dropping metal flakes into my tank. I liked the adjustability of the intensity and colors so you could dial it in to get it just to your liking. I have two of these interlinked which was a nice feature. These are generally simple and easy to use. I just completed scraping them down and spraying them with rust Reformer to see if Iโll get one more time out of them before they completely rust apart. On one of them, the fans stopped working, but that did not seem to impede the ability of the unit or cause it to overheat.

The Blackbox is improved
+ It works well and give more light than my 6 year old blackbox did as new. + The fans works with very low noise. + The overall constuction as well as the organisation inside fells a lot better than earlier model. + The led drivers are at 2x50W, my earlier models had 2x70W, despite this it gives a lot of light. + The new smd 2835 chip are more efficiant, just as Wills says. With blue channel at 50% and white at 75% it gave 7000 lux at 50 cm distance, My earlier model gave 6200 lux at 100% on both channel as new. + The smd mount combined with less power reduces the heat problem. - The light spectrum is not quite what I wanted, but I knew this. There is a lot of blue ligth at 460 nm, but very low amount at 410-440 nm witch is importent for chlorophyll A. It would have been good if Wills had put in royal bleu and more white instead of 27 blue at 460 -470 nm. - There seams to be more difficult to switch smd diods compared with earlier model. - If you gonna switch diods there is less colouroption to choose from. - There is no extra heatsink construktion like Vipaspectra has.

A sturdy, no frills light for corals and marine tanks
This is my second purchase of Wills lights. My first set is going strong without any issues for ten years now. The LEDs are very intense with excellent color saturation. I'm an old school aquarist so I'd much rather get off my lazy butt 2-3 times a day to adjust the colors for feeding time. The whole point behind having a good reef tank is that you're supposed to enjoy all you can see and the Wills lights fulfill that need well. I strongly prefer this over having to screw around with the lackluster app I got with the Current Loop System (a month ago) and I deeply regret that particularly overpriced set of lights which is why I went back to Wills lighting. The only down-side for me is the bulk and weight of the item but a good suspension system will ameliorate that. Well worth the reasonable price.

Strong light needs better control
Strong led light but not the best option for a reef set up. Had issues finding a way to mount light and also to find the sweet spot between par and intensity was difficult.

Nice lights, great power
Great Lights Pros Great light intensity - I don't have a PAR meter, but my coral at the bottom of my 21 inch deep tank respond well to the light Very fine tuning available for Whites, Blues, and Violets (all manually controlled) Great build quality - feel very sturdy, looks great above the tank Cons Short power cable - gave feedback to seller and they're addressing, but in the mean time picking one up was very cheap. One that comes in the box is about 6 ft, which may work well for some. Manual controls - you will need a timer to have the lights come on and go off as desired, not too big of a deal, but worth noting Overall very happy with the light quality for the price - great alternative to some super expensive alternatives as well as compared to some of the cheap junk out there. Would recommend

Works surprisingly well
Awesome light with enough brightness to handle both planted and reef tanks. I did not care for having an app because once set, I never really go back to change the color or brightness. The fans will stay on, but running the light on a timer fixes this. Let's get real here. This light is much cheaper than others because you do not have those fancy app features or ability to control the light on two timers. That's not a bad thing as I did not care for those things. The light itself uses quality parts, enough zip ties to keep things clean, and the optics have silicone to keep them from becoming lose down the road. Lastly, I love the wide stance! 21 inches makes a huge difference. This also helps it keep cool as the heat spreads out more. If you are looking for an upgrade and a light at a good price without the fancy bells and whistles. This is it folks!

Best light i've ever had!
I ordered this Wills light back in January of 2020. I have almost a year under my belt with this light and I thought it was about time to leave a review. I thought delaying the review would give me more insight and you(a potential buyer) better feedback. I hope my review helps you out as I put lots of thought into it. I currently have a 50-gallon aquarium and I knew I wanted a LED light for my next purchase. When I looked around at other bigger name brands, the costs really shot up pretty high. This leads me to look for some diamonds in the rough. After doing some comparisons I stumbled across the Wills light. It had the look I wanted, the amount of Watts I wanted and it was suspendable which is what I wanted as well. It has full-spectrum white light but also blue lights. I do not necessarily want blue but there is an option to turn them off independently from the white which is perfect. Considering the cost at that time which was around $140.00 it was a good purchase, so I went forward with it. Here are my thoughts below after using it for a year. Fan Noise: The fan noise was something that concerned me, to begin with, but after using it just a few days I did not notice it anymore. It's not a loud fan, pretty quiet actually. I work in the same office as my aquarium so if it was annoying I would have thrown it out. It's not very noticeable at all so that's a big plus Blue/White control knobs: They are high-quality knobs and turn very easily. Certainly high quality. Because the lights are LED the knobs allow you to dim the white and blue independently. I can have both blue and white or just white or just blue. The only con I wish they integrated was to allow the blue lights to come on at a certain time by themselves (at night let's say). For the price of it, I don't blame them. Seems they wanted to keep the price low Suspension: It came with some cables and hooks to suspend the light, thanks for throwing that in. I had to jerry-rig it a bit with my existing hardware but I made it work easy enough. Light penetration: I have a 50 gallon and the light penetrates to below the substrate level. I don't have a par meter but I can assure you it's enough to light. I have a fully co2 pressurized system with auto dosing fertz and I have to keep this light at about a level 4 out of 10 or else it's too much light, that's a good problem to have and the light has the ability to let me control my light intensity to avoid too much light which leads to algae. Daisy Chain: If you have a big tank you can buy multiples of these lights and plug them into each other. There is an outlet at the top which is great. Warranty: They give you a year which is great, I've not had to use it at all. The lights worked flawlessly. I'd recommend this light to anyone.
